HL:A has a teleporting option, a "snap" teleporting option, and a traditional smooth movement option you unbearable retard.
Why is this getting a negative campaign against it...
Hl2 has a teleport option you fucking zoomer
The entire game is going to revolve around motion controls. We've already seen it in the gameplay previews where every hacking minigame and mundane door requires 6DoF movement. Maybe someone could jury-rig some kind of weird double Wiimote setup, but at that point you might as well have just purchased a headset in the first place. If you get to the point where you have to replace every single puzzle in the entire game, is that even the same game at that point?
Creative problems require creative approaches.
A determined person will find a way.
how new are you? people here want every single new game to fail.
also, hl:a wouldn't get that negative reception if valve wasn't also selling one of most expensive vr sets. as it is now, their parading half life corpse feels extremely cynical.
how new are you, people fucking hated steam at first
all chads were using ase back then
I bet you didn't complain about Valve's anti physical, pro digital, pro console wannabe platform brainwashing campaign.
The Half Life series has done more damage to gaming than any other series, they are the most over rated games and are objectively bad. They were advertised into being good.
HL2 in particular is an over rated, gutted, tech demo walking simulator that was a "cinematic experience" with unskippable cutscenes and popularized cinematic "games" that was also the first case of online client DRM for a single player game even if you bought it physically. It was nothing more than bait to get people to install Steam, and brainwashed drones actually fell for it for a 5/10 game.
Alyx is going to be the same situation as the first two, tech demo disguised as a horrible game, but it will be advertised as "revolutionary" and people will say it is the greatest game of all time. You can already tell from the gameplay trailer how much they advertised that you can move objects on a shelf and pick up and individual bullet, brainwashed drones will claim that makes it the greatest game of all time, just like they claimed HL2's not cutscene cutscenes were a huge leap in "technology".
Half Life 2 was only created to bait people into installing Steam and to kick off Valve's anti physical copy, pro digital brainwashing campaign.
VR, like paid digital distribution, is just another way for the industry to get more non-gaming casuals that need either extremely easy access or a gimmick to play games to start playing games so they have more pay pigs to extract money from. Notice that Valve, the company that pushed digital distribution more than any other video game company, is also pushing VR harder than any other video game company.
Anyone that disagrees is a brainwashed Valve drone
>"prequel" game set before the events of Half life 2 but after Half Life 1, which is not what the fans wanted at all after 13 years
>no crowbar or any melee weapons at all
They didn't show the crowbar in the trailer because getting the crowbar is the late-game plot twist when you switch perspectives back to post-HL2Ep3 Gordon
The "clever" writing trick that Wolpaw and Pinkerton came up with was to set HLA as an alternate timeline created by the events of HL2Ep3, allowing them to finish the HL2 story arc and make a sequel to HL2Ep2 without actually making HL2Ep3 and also rebooting the series to allow them to come up with totally new stuff.
