MK8D is done. If they had planned to make DLC for it it would have been released already. It's a 3 year old game.

MK8 has the following problems:
- Roster with stupid characters. I'm not talking about the koopalings, who I like. I'm talking about Rose Gold Peach.
- Too much shit going on, visually. The screen is hard to parse, so it's hard to make proper strategic decisions.
- Items and the negative feedback loop of victory are nonsensical.
- The volume mixing is insanely loud. It's an auditory nightmare to play this game with friends, at work parties, etc. Some volume variety would be nice.

A lot of these problems are shared by Smash Ultimate when played in the casual format (items, stage hazards, 4+ players), and when not turning the music volume down a bit.

Unironically yes. Some of the stages are so visually busy (unless you're playing on a massive 4k, but even then sometimes it's overwhelming).

I've never once had any issues with any of MK8's visuals. No one I know who's played the game ever complained about that either.
