So I played HL2 back in the day. Average game, generic plot, the atmosphere is childish all the way like sesame street does 1984 (contrast to god of war or Quake 4 youtube.com/watch?v=CJwyjWpP4XA).
People who disagree on this need to say what they think of the stratification in Quake 4, and Quake 4 is no horror game.

Combined gameplay and story well and both are bretty good. Gravgun enabled you to actually interact with your environment both in and out of combat, and most of the other weapons were just satisfying to use.
