This is weird of me to say, but IMO, RDR2 is one of those games where it's an absolute blast to play in the first playthrough. But when you're all done with the story AND have thoroughly completed a lot or all of the side quests and extra stuff, there's not really much else left to keep you playing again.
The game is good on it's own right, but I honestly think that RDR1 is still better.

but who gets to decide what deserves recognition?

Nigger you think you're smart for discovering the concept of subjectivity. Everyone else in the room understands that the "in my opinion" is implied when you call something overrated. Now go the fuck to sleep, its a school night.

No that's Breath of the Wild, God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. Couldn't finish any of them.

I agree. I usually revisit most rockstar games 3-4 years later after one long playthrough. Makes replaying easier. Despite people bitching about them being "outdated" I think GTAIV-RDR2 all hold up great in 2020.

I really enjoyed rdr2. Was a really nice change of pace with a good story and characters. Suffers from the GTA style shooting but that's about the only thing I didn't like about the game. Would've been better if they didn't throw money at you starting chapter 4 too
