Outside of the main areas in Seoul and other city centers South Korea doesn't look much different to any other 3rd world SEA country.
I actually thought it was a developed country before I came there, but realized most of their GDP data is because people there work 14 hours a day. If I worked the same amount of hours in Korea here, I'd make 3 times the salary they make in Korea for the same job.
