Outside of the main areas in Seoul and other city centers South Korea doesn't look much different to any other 3rd world SEA country.

I actually thought it was a developed country before I came there, but realized most of their GDP data is because people there work 14 hours a day. If I worked the same amount of hours in Korea here, I'd make 3 times the salary they make in Korea for the same job.

I've been in America and western European countries. It's hard to believe, but they are even more materialistic and soulless than the west. The females there all have make-up, extensive plastic surgeries, etc. Even the males there wear makeup. They are the most status-oriented and vain people I've met.
