Italian sausage shortage?

I haven't been able to get "eye talian" sausage since the panic buying week. Is there some connotation of corona virus with Italy and their high mortality? Is there a food shortage?

They do not sell raw sausages like this in my country, 95% of them are precooked

I ordered Italian sausage and instacart brought me to it inositol pizza rolls. Slav's really are the niggers of the east

I got mine just fine today. Both hot and sweet, large packages. Making sauce on Sunday.

Find a good recipe, take it to your local butcher, and have them make it. It's as easy as making meatloaf. Hard part is jamming it into casing, which they have machines for. Especially butchers who dress out deer for hunters.

When I go to the store I get a queer feeling. Do any other Anons concur?

Probably all the people in masks. J less you mean you feel gay. That's probably just you.

I pity you.

Aldi in SoCal has plenty, cheers!

Polish sausage just isn't the same.

>Be me 5 weeks ago
>Corona panic coming
>Go to local Aldi
>Hope to buy some corona foods for the hoarding stash
>No paper products
>See meat section from afar
>Completely blown out, except for one thing
>Eye-talian sausage (hot) completely untouched
>Nab 3 pounds

It's been regularly in stock since then. Maybe the fuckers that live here (Central NC) just don't like it?

Oh dear...

At least tell me some of those are smoked when you saw precooked?

do you know why its called polish sausage? because you're dumb for thinking its sausage. thats alternative-format bologna.

Those sausage are made of pork and the way things are going, we are gauranteed to see pork shortages very soon.

Make your own as God intended user.
Italian Sausage
1 12 teaspoons salt
3 12 teaspoons paprika
23 teaspoon garlic powder
13 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon pepper
14 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 lb ground lean pork

wrap in plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge overnight to marry all the flavors together really well, and then brown and drain!

I'm guessing there should be some fractions in there?

>12 teaspoons

Mother fucker, you ever heard of a tablespoon?

lads take the sausage out of the "condom" fry this with a tablespoon of olive oil, now keep cooking until all the liquid comes out, the water will boil away leavings fat behind. the sausage will render in this fat and fry. then after about 4 mins of this add the tomato sauce. It's way better this way trust me lads

2 Tyson food plants have closed down. The largest pork distributor Tyson Foods in the United States closed down a day ago. All their workers were dying.

Tell us hungry user about this sauce plz

That's the smallest problem you'll be having for the discernible future...

NOOOOOOOO NOT THE SAUSAUREEEENOOS

How bout a quarter cup lol

Here's mine:

Heat a couple tablespoons of oil in a pan. Dice 1 medium onion and 1 bell pepper. Add to heated oil. Add a couple cloves of minced garlic (pre-minced in jar is fine). Cook until onions start to become translucent and peppers begin to soften. Be mindful not to burn garlic. At this point, add one pound of ground meat (can be beef or Italian sausage, depending on how squirelly you're feeling). Brown. Move meat and veggies to sides of pan, creating a well. Add one can of diced tomatoes, with juice, to the center. Allow to come to a boil and start cooking down the tomatoes. After this, add 2 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce, and 1 6 oz. can of tomato paste. Mix thoroughly. Eyeball consistency of sauce, adding water if necessary to thin (sauce will thicken some as it cooks, so be mindful of this before adding water). At this point, you're going to want to season. This has got to be to taste, but your primary seasonings are going to be garlic powder and salt. Add in dried oregano and basil (at roughly a 2:1 ratio), along with crushed red pepper. Again, this is all to taste; check it as you go.

Once you've got it set up like you want, let it simmer low and slow. Get your pasta ready. Enjoy.
