Why don't Yas Forums users read books?
>inb4 the four retards that actually read sorry out
I'm not referring to you, but to the other 99% of posters. Don't you think you should at least read a few real books before discussing politics?

I read mlp fanfics, does that count.
Because most of pol are 15 year old retards
The internet reduces attention span. Especially a spammy shitpost pile like this.
Any advice on absorbing information? I feel like I’m just reading words and not memorizing much.
Might’ve been the years wasted on this board causing it
Build patterns. Do it the same day/time each week remove all distractions. Fix your diet too sugar spikes and shit will fuck your mood/attention.
Alright thanks
Nope, that's genetic, go to tafe.
what am I, a fucking nerd? lmao
The Brother Karamazov has some of the worst characters. They're all cowards, drunks, liars, or cheats, and the only character worth anything (the priest), well, I won't spoil it for you but you get the idea
What kind of books do you people read?
I got The notes from underground on my kindle, because it was free and some anons said it was good, but its just boring, well written, but boring.
Hell, I having more fun reading the fucking book of genesis than that.
It’s ok to say you got filtered bruh
That's the point you dumb fucker. The book is amazing. The scene where Grushenka pretends to befriend and then utterly mindfucks Katerina Ivanova is one of the best depictions of the female nature in all of human culture.
It's meant to be a comedy novella, it shouldn't take you long enough reading the thing to even get bored.
Also buy real books
Hitler’s Revolution by Richard Tedor
Also, if you find something really interesting, write it down by hand. Not only will it be useful because you will have a summary of the subject, but writing by hand helps you remember it more clearly.

If Dostoevsky was alive today, I don't think he would be putting half-naked pooftas on the cover of his novels.
I don't wanna deal with storage and discard of print books, e-books aren't that bad if you have a decent e-reader.
>The notes from underground
i remember this book being hilarious
though i prefer the modernized version a confederacy of dunces
here is the case with reading in the general population
1. most people dont have the attention span to stay fixated on a book due to how the world is now
2. a majority of the ones who do read end up having all that knowledge and not applying it, which they may have just not read at all
3. the ones reading and applying are no longer here and occasionally pop back to drop some pills
there are millions of books out there made by the past generations covering how to do everything in detail, that includes how to read and making use of books - the right books contain a persons whole life research/studies condensed into one for you to take
our past generations have passed on their wealth of knowledge through books, seek those books out and filter out the trash - and learn how to read
>how to read and making use of books
whats this book
anybody read the old testament
i just found out about it it sounds like an epic scifi tale
> that includes how to read and making use of books
>you need to read a book to know how to read and make use of books
I just find it hard to consume any western media. Older western media I have trouble with appreciating and relating to, unless it's mythology which I've already read the important ones. Modern western media is cucked as shit and always has something incredibly degenerate at some point that makes me drop it.
I mostly just read manga and STEM textbooks at this point. Something foreign and something so dry it can't be degenerate.
I like it because of all the Jews god smites.
>manga
that doesn't count bro...
Books are for retards.
Reminder that you have no business pretending to have any formed political ideology whatsoever if you have no knowledge of the theory behind it. 99% of this board are just edgy underage faggots who don't have a clue what the fuck they're talking about.
Also reading more in general can improve your verbal IQ and will refine your worldview and ability to argue around it.
Read books that are actually helpful, like The Principia, or Nietzsche. Reading fantasy books with stories and such doesn't count, aka books that are empty in actual useful knowledge. That is an actual waste of time.
You don't count. Want me to kiss your dick?
What makes you think pollacks dont read books?
I agree with your premise anyway.
This trilogy is absolute narco kino
If you can hold a gun and shoot, you can hold a political ideology.
