I'm a network admin. My boss fired someone else in IT and gave me his job for no extra pay...

>I'm a network admin
*Howard Beale wants to know your location*

this. format all of his harddrives and walk out of there.

They did this to me 2 years ago. Begin gold bricking. Only do important functions, and when they ask why you're behind tell them you're handling it. Gold brick more as time goes by. Soon you'll be in management.

>I'm a network admin. My boss fired someone else in IT and gave me his job for no extra pay, then hinted that if I complained that he'd fire me too

Rough him up and quit

Network admin and software development have nothing in common.

kill him and assert dominance

I wish they'd fire all my coworkers. Then I wouldn't have to fucking babysit them all day on top of my work.

>I honestly can't understand how anyone with a job could be anti-union. You NEED to fight back, your employer will ALWAYS fuck you over if it helps them. They'd fucking hang you if it'd make them a dollar.
If you're below a director level, you will probably make more by unionizing. Not being in a union allows senior management to pit employees against eachother until the wages are worth jack shit.

I work as a code monkey. Every single thing I do is tracked, monitored, and measured. Do my managers have any technical background? lolno, they just come up with more bogus procedures to track our activity more.

I stayed up last Wednesday night to make sure I met a "Sprint target", who got the credit for it? My manager because his team hit the KPI target. Did he do any work? Did he supervise anything? No.

Credit travels up, blame travels down.
