It does not necessarily mean linear, but it does mean that there is a constant increase, and you took one thing that he said about "monotonicity" way too seriously. Is this all you got on Ryan, seriously?
Ryan "AltHype" the Hack
Instead of asking 50 questions in one post why don’t you pick up a book? IQ correlates to life outcomes better than most variables and it’s pretty obvious that intelligence is required for efficient organization of production.
>f(x)= x*x*x
Or just simply f(x)=x^3??

Who are the others?
shitposting on Yas Forums about one small and irrelevant mistake from a 2 hour video on iq. Is this a joke or are leftists actually retarded?
>nobody brags about some hypothetical Physical quotient that measures how physically healthy and strong and athletic and agile a person is?
Yes, nobody in the world brags about their height, or their physical strength or the ability to excel at a sport.
Anyway, you being retarded aside, scientists take interest in IQ because it is highly predictive for things like educational attainment, income, criminality, etc. Finding ways to raise societal IQ is extremely important if you want to have a productive, modern society. Unfortunately, IQ is almost entirely genetic, and things like socioeconomic status or quality of education don't affect it positively or negatively.
Why don't you show that the IQ correlations are non-monotinic then?
This is a good post.
IQ scores are declining in the west indicating we are practicing dysgenia. This will lead to collapse if the course is not corrected.

Monotonicity doesn't imply a constant increase, it just means there's f(x0) > f(x1) never obtains for x0 < x1. That is for a monotonically increasing function, for a monotonically decreasing one f(x0) < f(x1) never obtains for x0 < x1.
It's unclear whether he's saying "monotonic" means "linear" in a specific context ( which is true, if it's obvious that you're talking about a linear function ) or whether it means that generally speaking.
IQ is pseudoscience.
