Just because all that is on right now is some shitters fighting in Libya doesn't mean we'll change our name. Idlib hopefully soon.
/sg/ Syria General - Long Live Gaddafi Edition
From what I understand, Gadaffi had his commandos and paratroopers as elite units, but the regular army was basically garbage.
Their equipment hasn't been updated since the Soviet Union and the Lybian military had basically no thermals (the most important part of any modern tank and more widely any direct fire system). Syria, for example, has thermals on their modernized T-72B3 and T-90MS tanks and I vaguely remember that even they recognized that the armor on those tanks doesn't actually matter, the only important part are the thermal sights.
Their air force and anti air machines also haven't been updated since the Soviet union and as a result just fucking eat shit from the air the moment France and the US decided to bomb them. I think their track record was a grand total of one destroyed UAV or something ridiculous like that.
They didn't even have MiG-29s, that's just the absolute bare minimum for an air force since the year 2005 or so.
This is also why pantsirs are so crucial to the LNA - it's the one and only viable air defense they've got access to, and they've got something like 20 of them in total.
The Lybian military, on both sides is so completely outdated, they'd probably get run over by Croatia's military, and that's an army that's been thoroughly neutered.
The more I look into it, the more I realize it's just garbage all the way down and they better do something fast or Turkey's drones will just grind them into irrelevance over a couple of years.
Is General Haftar going to make it?
Why does NATO back GNA in libya?
Because NATO is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood when it's convenient for them, and they are behind with the GNA.
/ug/ when?
ok but how is it convenient for them in the case of Libya
No one knows what will happen over the course of months let alone years
Yasser Hassan-Taiz
A visitor from the Yemeni governorate of Taiz, whether inside or outside the country, cannot find a better gift than municipal cheese as a gift. In spite of the extinction of many old industries and handicrafts in Yemen, the manufacture of municipal cheese in Taiz has remained steadfast, and is carried out in traditional ways, inherited and pure natural materials.
And that industry was not affected by the many types of imported industrial cheese spread in the markets, as Yemenis prefer municipal cheese for its distinctive taste and natural ingredients.
The Yemeni citizen Yusef Abdul Jalil comes from Ibb Governorate to buy the municipal cheese for his family, and he also takes it as gifts to his friends in Yemen and abroad, and he considers it "the best gift he brings to his family and friends from Taiz, because it is fresh and natural, and it does not harm human health unlike imported and industrial types."
Al-Baladi is eaten, but Muhammad Faid Al-Shamiri says that he persists in purchasing Al-Baladi cheese permanently and does not buy imported species at all, because Al-Baladi cheese does not contain any preservative materials, all of its components are natural, and that this is in support of the local economy and the thousands of Yemeni families who live to manufacture and sell it. .
On the uses of cheese in meals, Al-Shamiri said that it can be eaten alone or with bread, especially when it is free of salt. As for the types to which salt is added, it can be mixed with tomatoes and peppers to form a "powdered" meal that is eaten with bread.
In “Al-Shanini Market,” which is one of the most famous cheese markets in Taiz, Wael Hammoud, one of the cheese sellers, said that he and other sellers keep pieces of cheese from insects by placing them in special places and refrigerators, and wash them with water daily to keep them fresh.
