You are referring to Amtrak? West coast inner and greater city trams and commuter rails are quite nice. Boston and NYC are pretty gross though. I'd much rather be on a train than a bus. Greyhound is gross.

Than why don't you use them? You will never convince me that getting on a train to visit my family 250 miles away is a better alternative than packing my family into our vehicle, and driving the 250 miles at our own convenience.
