>Belarussians have more in common with Grand Duchy of Lithuania While it's certainly a fact that the Rus (or Rusyni or Russkie or whatever they happened to be called before the term "Belarusian" came into usage) were a majority at certain points in the history of the GDL, they were always a distinct people. Lithuania was powerful, and with the threat of the Mongols, there were reasons for annexation back then. The Lithuanians had the central government, and the Rus were vassals.
If you want to know what the dominant culture was, remember that the Rus nobles became Polonized.
But during that whole history, there was a culture distinct from Lithuanians.
>ALL BELARUSSIANS WOULD GLADLY JOIN LITHUANIA NOW >I think of Belarussians as my brothers Thanks for the warm feelings. Hopefully they will mean peace. But not everyone in Belarus wants your vision. I do not. We should go our separate ways. We are not the same people. It's called BelaRUS for a reason. Not "Belaya Litva" or something similar.
The Muscovites are our brothers, not you. Having said that, there were tensions and problems in the past. But we are better off having unity in Rus. We need to strive for peace.

It may be a "LARP", yet they were Lithuanian cumdumpsters for centuries. Annex Belarus, Latvia south of the Daugava River, enforce Lithuanianization eugenics, boom.
