SO what's the best way to become a paid shill? I was thinking about the military, joining the Air Force or Army and get involved in psyops. I have a degree and background in psychology and education which I think would be helpful?

most astroturfing in the US is done on initiative campaigns, mostly signature gathering drives, which can be fairly lucrative. sometimes GOTV can be good. there is no real market for online shilling yet.
thanks for the input. while i agree there probably is not an actual "market" for this, I'm more interested in actually working for the US govt.
I guess my real question is, is it better to join the military as an officer and try and get involved that way, or would I be better off directly applying to an agency?

I spent 6 years in military intelligence. No one in the army does anything with shilling. Air Froce does the gay cyber shit. Be warned, the air force is probably the worst branch to join as far as military culture goes. I did time with a bunch of AF guys at MacDill and it was insufferable. That's all I got, but you should probably kys.
