I never understood the mentality behind "I need muh guns because if the bad ebil goburnment gets too powerful I can defend muhself"
Like, you guys realize the difference between you all and your country right? If it came down to it your country could just wipe your ass out.

you:
>limited range of guns that you can buy legally and an even smaller subset from the black market
>Maybe mobilize with a few locals if they won't reasonably just comply with said government
>shitty limited escrow home-made bombs
>civilian grade body armor
your country's military
>SWAT, tactical grenades, stun grenades, state of the art technology, EMPs, nuclear weapons, rocket launchers, mass production turrets, mass production chemical/bio warfare, control of funding in states, control of state's access to global commerce, control of telecommunication, hundreds of thousands of soldiers, MOABs, submarines, warships, microwave blasters, fighter jets, etc. etc.
I know most of you wouldn't do shit if a police officer came to your house to take your guns. You would probably just pathetically hand over your firearms and sprint to Yas Forums to cry and bitch about it and for the 1*10^-50 % of you that actually fights the police your ass would be 6 feet under in a heart beat.
