Why did God make Swyer Syndrome?
It was called Gender Identity Disorder until 2013, it was changed to Gender Dysphoria to reduce the stigma. Cause guess what? Psychiatrists realize that a diagnosis can, in itself have a negative effect on a person, and belonging to a profession with the goal of helping people live happy and healthy mental lives, they take approaches which seek to maximize the number of people that are able to do so. Does that bother you?
Seems to me that the brokeness of a mind isn't a binary state. Who among us doesn't have something about our minds that we wouldn't wish to change if we could? Whether it fixes it or not isn't the point. I mean, anethesia doesn't cure any medical issues whatsoever, but it can keep surgeons from getting kicked in the face while they use other tools.
