First part of your post is right, second part not so much. Hunter-gatherer doesn’t mean we’d go out, kill a mammoth just to take a small portion and “balance” our diet with crushed up grass and roots. You have to realize too that most fruits and vegetables in their modern, edible forms did not exist prior to human domestication.
