>Fruits and vegetables are essentially devoid of nutrition save for calories if you're lucky >Need to eat a profound amount of vegetables to get any meaningful vitamins, 1/2 lb to 1lb of vegetables a day for 100% DV of vitamins. >Much more practical to take a pill >Fruit is literally diabetes incarnate, just raw sugar, now meaningful nutrients, vitamin C much healthier to take in a supplement because lack of sugar >Refers to "Fruit and veg" as a "basic food" which is again ridiculous These are luxury itmes because they provide no pragmatic or practical nutrition. >Literally a mindless sack of shit parroting pro-consumerism propaganda on the grounds of "health" >Unable to understand negligible nutritional value of "fruit and veg" despite literally being trained in medicine >inb4 "lulz faggot, furit and veg are nutritious" >The reason nutrition facts are not on raw fruits and vegetables is because of how markedly devoid of any meaningful nutrition they are.
Look up any "Fruit and veg" on this website. Nothing but calories, minimal to mild amounts of vitamins. You need to eat 1/2 to 1lb of even nutritionally rich vegetables to gain 100% daily value of a nutrient. Very few exceptions like kale.
>Fruits and vegetables destroy the planet, 90% of their existence is unjustifiable. >It is giving something, that is 95% water and 4% sugar, 1000 free plane rides a day across the world. >Literally shipping 95 tons of water, and 4 tons of sugar, and at best 1 ton of multivitamin >Giving water international plane rides instead of drinking local potable water >Shipping water across the country >Not just water, this is water that can literally rot and spoil. >50% of this water shipped around the world just rots and spoils and is never consumed. >This is consumerism
This is someone else's argument proposed somewhere on /gif/. Now I know veg aren't what they used to be but what should I eat then?
Meat only. Or meat with certain low-carb vegetables if you want (Atkins approach). Carnivore diet gets memed on here as “that weird shit Juden Peterstein does” but it is life changing. If you can bring yourself to browse Reddit, /r/zerocarb has quality info and resources to get started. Otherwise, you can find info on Yas Forums or on Dr Shawn Baker’s website.
Reading through it will sound ridiculous at first. Every single aspect of health, from the brain to the immune system, is improved by eating the way humans naturally evolved to eat. Your skin will be flawless, your testosterone will be maximized, I swear to god it even makes your eyes look different. Like nofap, you can spend forever looking at sources on the internet to tell you what you want to hear, but upon trying it, you will know immediately it is the truth.
The agricultural revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the health of mankind.

Fruits and vegetables haven't always been like this. We bred them into these monstrosities

There are worthwhile fruits, too. Mostly berries. Seafood (including sea vegetables) are also a good idea. A lot of people don't get enough iodine in their diets.

>diet isn’t a political issue
The health of a nation is absolutely a political issue. Furthermore, diet has always had political implications. From the beginnings of caste-based society, upper classes have reserved meat for themselves while forcing the peasants to subside on grains and vegetables. Ancient Greek philosophers recommend banning meat from a conquered population to subjugate and weaken them.
Up into relatively recent American history, the push for plant based diets goes hand in hand with circumcision and alcohol prohibition; all three were major agendas of the Seventh Day Adventists. Yes, Kellogg the cereal guy actually invented cereal and pushed genital mutilation because he was in a weird religious cult that held power in both the grain industry and the government. If that’s not Yas Forums tier discussion I don’t know what is.
Today, where a bloated and corrupt pharmaceutical industry profits off of chronically sick people, a dietary approach that relieves many chronic conditions is not only a political issue, but an imperative for securing the existence of our people.

>What do you recommend people eat then? Animal feces to get your dose of b12. >Carnivore diet But we're are not carnivores. We have to cook meat because we can't digest it naturally I'll look into this Shawn baker though. Alot of the shit for everyone saying go vegan or go carnivore haven't really gripped me. I feel far safer just playing the balanced diet game. I'm guessing diary is a no no in carnivore diet?

That is true. I believe eating fruits in season is good. In moderation of course, you know this if you’ve ever gorged on berries and felt like shit afterwards. The primary staple of your diet should be red meat.
Btw I have been doing this for a year now and the changes in my health are phenomenal.

I'm on a modified keto diet, basically all I eat is meat and i've never been this lean in my life.
