Yas Forums were the 90s good?

I made this thread a while ago and I think it's a pretty interesting topic and away from all the corona stuff. I'm a zoomer so I don't know and I know there are some older anons who could talk about their experiences in that decade. I'd like to say my favorite music and movies are from that time period as well.

My 90’s childhood seemed pretty good.

No.

Thread theme

youtu.be/DL7-CKirWZE

Liberals flipped out full time Alinsky shrieks around G W Bush. The LGBT bullshit was already infecting high school.

the 90s were great to grow up in
the 2020s can be too
>just so long as you dont live in a city with a population over 25000

Mine was good. Lot's of unsupervised fun. There was always someone's aunt or mum around if you needed her. No darkies, no junkies.

No. Gen x will blabber forever about how everything was better in America in the past. No smartphones or fast wireless internet, less PC, less diversity. But they are just living with rose colored glasses. Everyone wants to remember their childhood as a better time.

The 90s had major depression, alienation and drug use. The beginnings of the rust belt and deindustrialization. Having any political commitment was considered uncool. Culture was dictated by extreme violence on TV and movies, apathy, evangelical Christians and snobby liberals. Both parties wanted to cut taxes on the rich and cadeindustrializatuon. It wasn't that great

Just dirty old men who used to hide in the bushes waiting for any kid who went in to pee.

The nineties were straight cash.

90's culture was the last bastion of white pop culture.

It was dictated by Fads. Normies would change their music style every few months based on the new fad, television would it recycle it too. Then Hip hop/rap came and I distinctly remember thinking "this is so annoying, I can't wait for this fad to get replaced". It never did.

A jewish conspiracy? Or most people just really like the style? I don't know, but always pissed me off how it wasn't going away

Liberals were screeching but no one took them seriously. They got more power soon after and basically took over.

No, the 80's and 00's were tolerable, the rest was pure shit.

They were overrated. The 00s were much better up until the 2008 shitstorm. The 2010s were just pure shit in almost every aspect.

Glee and Facebook were the final nail in the moral coffin.

Agreed. I miss them terribly.

>were the 90s good?
No, the '90s were simply the best.
>Cold War over, no nuclear threat
>Internet actually worked
>raves
>obesity was still rare
>best analog tech and good digital tech
>no smartphones
>best Toyota pickups

Better than now, still completely Jewish though. The main difference is that the '90s were still white.

Imagine the world without mobile phones and internets.
That's it.

90s were good times. That’s why all of the video game remakes are of 90s games.

It was the only good decade of my life. And Winona was hot.

Attached: Cute.jpg (800x1015, 61.91K)

So you were still in Pakistan in the 90s?

I want to have hot, sweaty and animalistic fuck sex with 90s Winona Ryder. I want to make her brain explode from orgasm.

No. Gays were legalized. Civilians were massacred in Bosnia on a daily basis. Also in Iraq. The economy was OK, but the rest pretty mediocre.

>no mobile phones
You hung around with kids in the neighborhood or from school. Run into friends around town. Show up at someones house. Phone conversations mattered as there was no texting and long distance charges. Women and men didnt sit around posting on their phones social media shit. When you were hanging out with friends and family it didn't involve everyone with theirs faces glued to a fucking phone screen.
>no internets
there was internet. With a shit ton more websites and way more freedom. Everything was free and everything was uncensored. SOCIAL MEDIA DID NOT EXIST

the 90's were the last great time to grow up. Every single year this world resembles something worse and worse. I hate this world.

Personally I feel it was the last decade that had a balance to it. For example, you had internet, but it was dial up on a PC so it wasn’t like today, always on, super fast and on every device you had. TV was essentially watched on a TV set, instead of it being on every fuckin device you had. You had porn, but it on DVD if you were lucky and not 24/7 on every fuckin device you had. Point is OP, you had technology that did one thing mostly and you use it when needed. Now you have it all on a small device they call a “smart” phone.

spent most of my adolescence and teenage years in the 90s. Junior high, high, college. It was pretty great. dial-up BBS, Prodigy, Usenet were all great places for young autists. Played sports on all white teams, against all white teams. Hung out at the mall, watched moves. Made out with girls in cars, smoked weed etc... Nobody had a cellphone unless you were a Doctor, and most of them just had pagers. In late 90's. Music was pretty aggressive. Lot's of rejection of 80's buttrock, NiN, Pantera, Megadeth, Iron Maiden all transitioned pretty well into the 90s.

>snobby liberals
Yeah, forgot about them. Still wasn't a bad time to be alive, economy wasn't horrible either.

I think 90s was peak humanity. I remember watching back to the future around 1990 thinking how cool life will be in 2020. Now I am sitting here stuck in my house from a virus playing my nes emulator. I literally was doing the same thing in 1990. My evolution is complete.

Everything was better before 9/11/01. FACT

Attached: 1584732009757.gif (312x302, 3.41M)

Trance and hip hop finally became good, TV was immensely popular, but people still talked to each other and spent time outside. Platforming video games hit their peak alongside the greatest console of all time (SNES). People could openly talk about conspiracy theories and ufos without being ostracized. Blacks and whites were amazingly just starting to get along. It was a weird time for sure.

Was fun, wouldn't want to go back though because no to very little internet.

youtube.com/watch?v=BJ0xBCwkg3E

> there was internet.
Until late 90s it was too expensive and pretty rare here, most nerds used FidoNet.

>Everything was free
Haha, yes with 5 Kb/sec speed. I still remember downloading a ~700 Mb movie for like two weeks. That was in early 00s tho.

It was the last decent decade. Technology had not really taken over. Neighbors still were friends. People cared more about their communities. Also churches were a lot more active and you weren't anyone if you didnt go to church.

The 90’s were a golden age for Americans.

Born in 91, so not really at 90s kid. I remember pokemon and kirby on gameboy, the spice girls, wwf wrestling, lava lamps, playing outside all day long only coming in for dinner. Was fun.

Oh yes and no cell phones so if you told someone you were meeting them somewhere you better show up!

The Internet sites looked retarded and if you Googled "verses" the search engine only posted the Koran. Liberals were already out of control attacking Christianity and promoting homosexuality by then.

>be the 90's
>grunge
>alternative
>gangsta rap
>heroin chic
>hanson
>nu metal

Notice: one of these things is not like the others. This was the millenial intrusion into an otherwise gen-x-dominated approach towards pop culture.

I was born in 91 so I was just a kid back then. It sucks because it's hard to tell if it really was better or if it is just nostalgia. There are concrete ways to look at it though. Minimum wage was not much lower than it is now (it was like $5 per hour instead of $7.25) but everything was cheaper (except gas, we're back to 90s prices now). Gas was 1.70 or so, rent for a 1 bedroom apartment would be like 300 or 400 bucks for a decent place, cars were a lot cheaper. Communism died or so we thought and basically everyone was making money in the 90s. The economy was great and basically every single job would bring you a rising standard of living. Of course there were problems with NAFTA and outsourcing, the 90s was still on a downward slope in the grand scheme of things, but for a few years everything seemed really perfect.

It was a hopeful time. People thought that since the USSR no longer existed, that the economy would go up forever and we would develop new technology and that market capitalism would bring us to a utopia essentially. Then 9/11 happened and everything has royally sucked since. I feel really bad for zoomers who don't remember what things were like before 9/11. Everyone really had a completely different mindset.

The closest comparison is this coronavirus scare. You know how everything has changed in a month, and people aren't sure if things will ever be normal again? That's what happened with 9/11, and things never went back to normal

>Personally I feel it was the last decade that had a balance to it.

Well said, user. I think the same applied to the cultural sphere as it did to the tech sphere. People were starting to drop baseless prejudice without replacing it with hatred for whites and worship of disabled-trans-women-of-color. You could find movies that were still wholesome and fun without being too preachy, or movies that were dark and violent without being totally devoid of substance. Social cohesion was definitely on the decline, but families and friend groups still spent time together and went out to do things. Political discourse was narrow but people could also deal with differences of opinion without wanting to condemn each other to hell.

Compared to today they were pretty good. It was a good mix of tech without it being overly invasive. There was also a ton of violence in the early 90s and it was the start of main stream nigger culture. Wasn’t perfect but when was it ever?

op here, thanks for the story user. I wish I could've grown up in the 90s, I was born in 01 a couple months before 9/11 and my childhood up until 2012 was pretty great, but I think it was mainly just nostalgia.

Attached: rw434795el141.jpg (828x1000, 79.84K)

It was pozzed in a naive optimistic way. Multicultism didn't seem so bad when your living in a 94% Huwhite country. At least the music was decent.

One thing about the 90s: both Liberals and Conservatives loved America and were patriotic. Karpernick would have been shot.

really well put user. Technology and the modernization of it I think is going to doom us all. I feel like humanity is going to end up like the wall-e movie before it's all said and done with.

They were the golden age of adolescent freedom. Movie mid-90's sums it up pretty well for me.

Faggots couldn’t get married and coming out as gay was a big deal. Only took 15 years or so to go from that to tranny kids and normalizing pedophilia.

Best time to be a child ? Yes
Best time to play vidya ? No

>
bitch in op has asian boyfriends. yes she is getting that chang girthy cock. stay mad white incels lol

>Then 9/11 happened

That was the paradigm shift. I was also born in 91, turned 29 in February. I can definitely tell the differences in society, but I wonder if that's just me growing up and being an adult.

was a teen in the 90s.
for me it was a time of amazement at the improvement of computing power. Watching games turn from crappy 8-bit pixelated frames to smooth scrolling 2D and then mind blowing smooth 3D was a magical experience. TV peaked in the 90s. It had been improving every decade, but by 2000 is just got too cheap to produce, and it became more generic and shit. No SJWs & feminism was no where near as bad as now. Easier to get laid, no dating apps which have given the top 1% of men better access to the top 40% of females, to the loss of the bottom 70% of men. It used to easier to find isolated high quality women who didn't know their market value. In the 1990s UK paki rape gangs were on the rise, but it got worse in the 2000s when schools and councils were taken over by pakis and school girls were literally bused out every 4pm to paki counicl estate brothels while the SJW female teachers stood and watched but said nothing because 'they weren't racist'.

82 here.
90's sucked

Computers were slow as hell.

You are fucking retarded

lol look how desperate chang is to be relevant

Thanks for not calling me a fag!

Another example I was thinking of was PlayStation and the N64. Both played games, that’s it. Oh sure you could also play CDs and listen to music on the PS1 but that’s about it. Now your Switch can go wherever you go socially and the PS4 has a online store always trying to sell you shit, 24/7 JewTube and Netflix. Don’t get me started on micro transactions. What ever happened to the days of just playing a game, then turning off your console and going downstairs to watch TV with your family?

Outside of Winona pics, this thread is shit.

The 90s was when the diversity shit really started to metastasize. For example, this was when became normal, expected, and praiseworthy to have black women start as characters in plays who were white makes. It was quiet compared to now of course, but it was ramping up rapidly. The mass immigration was ongoing, the white population declining, feminism spreading, etc.; the pace has been accelerating since the mid 60s and anyone who thinks the 90s were any different are looking through rose-colored nostalgia glasses.

What asian boyfriends has Winona had? I've never seen her with an asian before. She's had like 50 boyfriends too, all I think are white lmfao.

'95 here. It was really comfy to grow up in the late 90s and early 2000s. Only have hindsight on if they were good by comparing them to others, didn't really live through them.

I have to say no , and the 80's were much better but I save good memory's from the 90's but even so it was not very nice

Why did a few muslims waging jihad and only killing a few thousand of out hundreds of millions fuck everything up so bad? I know it was fucked up but technically speaking they didnt cause very much damage. Did everyone just get perma ptsd or something?

Attached: 1564384489201.gif (500x229, 466.69K)

kek, I'd say it's better than the a million corona threads tho user.

Isn't Sean Waltmann jewish?

>Blacks and whites were amazingly just starting to get along

Are you fucking retarded? The 90s was the absolute leak for black violence in this country. White populations were almost entirely ethnically cleansed from most urban centers, you couldn’t step foot in 75% of many cities.

Agreed.

yeah honestly the years of 2006 to 2012 for my childhood were pretty great, but I know how shit everything actually was in that period as well.

we had the best toys back then i had all of these sets retrojunk.com/commercial/show/24856/dr-dreadful-food-lab

Name one significant permanent change that came from 9/11. All I can think of is airport security which is minor.

Really
I remember playing video games and there was no online games at all, and in current online video game culture is not appealing at all to me. But hey I am a boomer now and I will doing the boomer dance blasting loud music on my headphones , I am out of the league so cannot say it was better or not cause it seems the young people enjoy them a a lot.
I am getting old hehe, but not in my heart
