Probably depends on the area, snatch up shelf-stable goods like canned food and oats if you can find it, but buy fresh and eat fresh first.
Apples and Onions both last a long time. Cheese and yogurt unopened can make it past expiry date in your fridge.
Eggs can last for weeks in fridge as well

I work for a major grocer as a manager. Big problem we're having is that most of these companies have exhausted their safety nets/reserve supplies and are now allocating items to us. They're trying to get products to as many buyers as possible so we're competing with everyone else, and we are the second largest general retailer in the US behind Walmart. Then every store is ordering the same product, warehouses are backed up, not enough drivers (weren't enough in the beginning before this happened), then when product does come in we don't have manpower to adequately get to shelves.
We are expecting this to be a minimum 4-6mo "problem" even though it's very profitable for us. Just hard to continue running on fumes and even though we're "hiring", no one wants to work for us when we generally pay less than our major competitors, sometimes by several dollars an hour.
I work for your boss man, and we're not going to have sanitizer for a while. They are working on that solution but since it's an FDA item it's a clusterfuck of a process to get it done. We're currently getting in toilet paper; both white label and major brand. Water is still very much an issue but is starting to level out. Canned goods is where we will get fucked this year because a lot of those are on cycles (only made certain parts a year depending on harvest, plant, etc) so when those are gone, they're fucking gone until the next run is done. We're looking at certain sku's that we might not have again this year.
