as this faggot said, there were millions of businesses that shut down their lines. but more importantly is that there was a company that sent out millions of free sim cards before coronachan hit, and so millions of people dropped their carrier to switch to them recently. i can't remember their name, but i know a person who lives in china who confirmed this. also, if you're quarantined, you don't really need a phone. chinks mainly just chat through web-based apps using wifi. they use their phones when they're out walking around and need to use 5g and 4g. so once the lockdown was announced, millions canceled their service. phone contracts in china are for the most part pay-as-you-go. so millions dumped their contracts.

They do nearly 100% of their banking on their phones, they use them to purchase food from stores, in Wuhan you still can't leave your home without a scannable QR code on your phone. They simply would not allow their phone service to lapse unless they were dead or completely unable to pay as they would immediately be shut out of a large portion of society. The study that this number is based off of has estimated a total of 9 million deaths based off of the 21 million decline in cell phone subscriptions based off of a number of factors. Chinese shills are playing this down everywhere that it's brought up.

If they died of the disease, why would their phones disappear that fast? Most people put their phone bill on auto-pay, and many months would go by before anything happened to get the line disconnected.

This seems more like a sign of a political purge, where the government shut off their phone lines and took them off to concentration camps.

Many people are on monthly plans. Many people would have already been behind on payments. This would be the tip of the iceberg. The study found 21 million fewer accounts and estimated 9 million deaths from that. We're likely to see millions more accounts closed in the coming weeks and months.
