Is anyone else hearing an unusual amount of helicopters at the moment? Why are there way more than usual flying around?

Isn't it kind of interesting how people seem to notice whats going on around them when they're paranoid? Now that the coronies is making its rounds people are trying to see something that isn't there.

Nope, clearly state “unusual” amount in post. How can you even infer paranoia? I didn’t state why I.e “OMG it’s military roundups” was simply asking as to why user thinks this might be happening.

Yes. I'm a night owl who lives by an airport. I am used to small planes flying low late at night with an occasional helicopter. For the past 3-4 weeks there has been more helicopters flying around 2-4am my time.

LA here. I've noticed a lot too, not that helo traffic is rare here. My guess is that it's partly medivacs, partly news getting footage of empty freeways etc., and partly that we're noticing helos more because it's so quiet outside otherwise. What I can't explain as easily is an upswing in military helo traffic, I see random Blackhawks and Chinooks and even Cobras now and then but there have been a lot since this whole thing started.

I also heard a military jet overhead a day or two ago, which is very rare here, but it was low overcast and I couldn't ID it beyond the fact that it clearly had turbojets or low-bypass turbofans rather than the high-bypass turbofans of commercial aircraft.
