This is plainly visible in the silver market, even better than the entire stock market. The price of the metal through the refiners a few days ago was about $17 while the paper silver kept the price at about $12.
That, as far as I remember happened for the first time and even after 2008 the price of physical metal was not that divorced from the paper. Paper SLV and GLD are completely divorced from the reality and supply/demand for the real metal. But yet are used by the refinera still ( no other choice). This year the manipulation was so blatant that the markets dealing with the physical metal divorced from the paper.
We will see what happens next but no one is selling the physical for the paper price right now ( checked yesterday).
