Kishiro is a master of capturing emotions. The part in the manga where Alita finally found Ido only to see that he had lost his memory and didn't know he she was hit me like a freight train. My dad died of dementia, and her frustration with Ido not being able to see her growth after all she'd done to find him was disturbingly real.
