Massachusetts' version of leftism is really just early 20th century "urban machine" union corruption updated for the 21st century.
There is a veneer of academic "woke" identity politics on top, but the reason that Massachusetts is a one-party state is because it's run by unions that Irish and Italian white guys use to steal. And those guys are the complete opposite of "woke" and hate black people.
Fenway Park is literally a 15 minute T ride away from the blackest section of Boston, but all black people know not to go to Fenway. Look at a crowd shot of Shea Stadium and a crowd shot of Fenway Park and it's night and day.

I've lived in the south for nearly 10 years now. I grew up in New England. In less than a year living in north Mass and southern NH I met countless kkk, neo nazi and other "white supremacist" groups. Not one here in the south. None. Also, notice the decline in the southern kkk coincides with the Republican increase. Well there was an increase in the kkk up north that coincided with the Democrats move to there.
