I went to my store in a high income area, Everything in the local supermarket was gone except for pet food, potato chips and soda. Literally everything is gone. Mass hysteria but im not wprried first confirmed cases in my town 2 days ago not gonna stop me from working though.

It's a meme. I've been to a variety of stores this weekend and not one of them was totally out of toilet paper. Sure a particular brand might be out but there were alternatives. The only problem I've personally run into was when I went to the grocery store today and they were almost totally out of onions so I had to buy an expensive 'pre-peeled' white onion at $2.89lb (thankfully it was a small one so I only paid $1.68 but still crazy for a fucking single onion). I also couldn't get ground beef but my recipe was versatile so I at first was going to grab some ground lamb but later found some ground chorizo instead. Food wise I had more issues basically with perishable stuff as for dry/shelf stable goods I didn't have to much trouble although selection was pretty limited. As someone who worked in grocery retail for over 10 years I know this is a big nothing burger of panic buying normies. Trucks for meat/veggies usually come in every other day and dry good grocery comes in daily. Now general merch (ie: drugs, TP, etc) tends to come in maybe twice a week. Just gonna get creative with meals and stuff and be thankful I just need to worry about myself.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just use bidet? Or you know, use any tissue like paper - paper towels, paper handkerchiefs, etc? Those are all same as toilet paper, just takes longer to discompose in water. So they are safe to flush as well.
