Our hospitals in the U.S. will be overwhelmed shortly. Are you u ready for no access to healthcare? Any anons currently work in a hospital? Get some sleep while you can and good luck to you.
Guys, it’s real
lol if you have no access to healthcare
just stop being unhealthy?
Dumb comment. What does that even mean?
>implying americans had great access to healthcare to begin with
It's a virus, there is no cure. Fucking retards really need to learn basic biology. The hospital can't help you, stay home and either get better or die.
t. medfag
>Are you u ready for no access to healthcare?
Ironic
Pretty sure he's mocking burger logic about (((private healthcare))).
Brace for impact
The Lord has come for your sins
US is 6 times larger than Italy so it will take while
Haven't used health care in a decade.
Imagine how many lives will be saved because they avoided medical errors for elective bs.
You're retarded and giving advice that will get people killed.
Ventilators are in hospitals dumb fag
F
stay safe burger bros and avoid the groid and all those hobos. Skid row is gonna turn into a open air morgue.
We're already full from fatasses, junkies, and old people with the regular flu. Priorities will have to be set.
I'll remember you said not to go to the hospital when my lungs were filling up with fluid and I'm running a fever of 107
Not exactly. Go to the hospital if you can, but if our current “social distancing” measures are too late or ineffective, there won’t be any hospital beds available. Go to the hospital ASAP or not at all.
t. Actual medfag
The California numbers are a closer proxy for Italy than all of US. Or pick any other state. We are like 50 small countries, and the growth won't be equal across them.
Washington is kill, for instance.
Seattle fucked.
The US was one of the first countries to close off from China. The US is almost 6 times larger population wise, and 33 times larger in area. The US has a much smaller population density. Italians wish that they could go back in time and do certain things. Well, the US is behind Italy, we are back in time, and we are and have already been doing the things they wish they did, (including closing Europe off).
The US has about 60 deaths, 23 of which are from one unfortunate elderly nursing home. Italy has 1,441 deaths. The US is not going to become another Italy, it just doesn't work that way.
>814 in California
I fail to see the problem here
You may believe me or not, I don't give a fuck. I'm brazilian too, so it may not apply for USA and other places.
My current position in the hospital I work would be like a C.O.O. (I'm a doctor and my job is to keep things operational).
Last week my hospital was chosen to be a coronachan hub for patients in my state. So, in the last few days, here are the things that happened:
I had a closed door meeting with the mayor and all the directora of the hospitals in the area. They decided that mine would be the best place to put the patients. So far, we had only one suspected case, but she is okay.
If shit hits the fan, we only have 25% of the ICU beds we need. So we will stop accepting other patients, and become a "coronário".
Supecteds patients will not have visits.
Staff that with cold/flu like symptoms are not allowed to come for work.
We have masks and gloves that will last for only 8 weeks.
So far:
- fag man nurse called saying he cannot come to work, he is scared
- vacations are suspended. All docs have to come to work.
- surgeons are refusing to examine Corona patients, because they are specialists
- nurses are mad that I banned clothes that are from outside the hospital. When they complained, I told them this is not a fashion show. HR called me, but I guess I'm ok so far
- all in all, the system is not overwhelmed yet. But the potential to be is here. Probably by the end of the week.
If you want to I can give you updates.
>Our hospitals in the U.S. will be overwhelmed shortly.
Back to /r/coronavirus, faggot.
If we had socialized healthcare every socialist country would be screwed because they rely on our private healthcare system to invent all the tech they use.
There are plenty of hospital beds in the USA and not every state has to deal with extremes like those. 20,000 in NYC? Sure, that would be a problem. But 20,000 in the USA? There are nearly a million staffed beds in this country. Stop spamming stupid fearmongering shit.
post a photo of something, of course you can't prove it, but at least give some small amount of evidence that you are a doctor. Post your scrubs w/ time stamp, a photo id with your name blacked out etc. Otherwise no one will believe you and nor should they.
1) the first US case happened a week before the first Italy case
2) half the Italy cases are in one province
3) the number of US cases are artificially low because of a lack of testing.
4) the US has 5 times as many people as Italy.
Shut up retard just reached out to multiple different nurses and doctors in my family they all are not worried in the slightest, hospitals are slow for them. So unless you can post pics of these swamped hospitals then fuck off
I've worked out regularly for almost 10 years now. I follow a strict diet that would drive the average asshole insane. I literally ONLY drink spring water and filtered water through my expensive ass filter. No Brita pussy shit here. Sometimes I even filter the spring water cause fuck you. My blood pressure, perfect. Non smoker. Non drug user. I sleep 8 hours a night, every night
Yet I'll probably get chink aids and die anyway cause everyone around me looks like cottage cheese and diabetes
Joke's on you, I never had access to healthcare.
this triggers eurofaggots
Keep us posted!
I have considered, but don’t know how to factor it in, all the healthcare workers who bail.
Good enough?
>monkey paw
seems legit
mr bateman, theres something wrong with you
I haven't had insurance for over a decade, so I am used to no access to health care
What you expected?
I said I'm Brazilian on my first line
the reason people ask for a timestamp is that anyone can get a picture from somewhere and post it. A timestamp is just a piece of paper in the photo that has the current time and date on it. That way we know you aren't just using someone elses picture.
Don't make me return those video tapes
Only one US state has a population density similar to Lombardy: New Jersey.
Right now the two states with the most cases are on different coasts.
Awesome info. Good luck to you.
That looks pretty nice. Well, the virus ain’t stopping if you keep socializing.
STOP using so much Tinder and if you love your grandpa and grandma, STOP visiting them.
Good enough?
good point and more evidence that our trajectory will be different. But I had to laugh at your fact about New Jersey, because there is such a high density of Italian-Americans their in comparison to other states.
Hey Brazil medguy.
I'm in NYC and our gov is actually recalling retired doctors, nurses, and other medical staff on record to provide overflow support. We're also preparing FEMA cots for ICU overflow in NYC gov building as our hospitals will quickly exceed capacity.
Are you seeing similar? They've also said sick medfags will still be required to work, as was the case in Italy...
It hasn’t happened yet, dipshit. It’s an exponential math equation.
Yes very good, I'm (and all of us) are all ears now. Anything else you want/need to tell us?
basado
>Last week my hospital was chosen to be a coronachan hub for patients in my state. So, in the last few days, here are the things that happened:
Well, you've been designated as the hub to treat old farts who get CV19. What do you expect?
And even in South Korea, which is a model for how to handle this, most of their cases are in one area.
Right now some people are using a lack of testing as a reason to shut down everything when the reality is that there are things that can be shut down to reduce the amount of hot spots and the ability for things to spread.
But people are essentially proposing shutting down the economy for weeks/months for an experiment. It’s like they want to crash the economy.
he's obviously joking
What are the other options? We have to slow the spread of the virus which will severely damage our economy. There’s no way around it that I can see.
Here:
>All vacations suspended. It's an unofficial all hands on deck call
> So far, sick staff are being told to stay at home. But our plans involves "desertion" of around 20%. Some will call us and tell they are sick, even not being.
> We have a lot of docs here (unfortunately for my salary), so we are not imagining that it will be a problem. We will just have temporary doctors and increase the payment
> My hospital has 180 beds, 30 ICU and 150 normal. If we get to 80% full, we are planning some kind of back up
I would like to tell my boss to go suck some politician's dick and get us some money.
Nobody even asked us if it was possible, user
Due to exponential growth, it's like an extra few days. It's not 6x longer for 6 times bigger..maybe a week or 2 longer max.
I tend to agree with this philosophy. There is so much potential for damage that overeating is far better than under-reacting. It's not like Wall Street could avoid the global markets, we were going go down anyway, before the big crash the futures market and foreign trading was already fucked.
Doing the God's work, fag user.
Our physical therapists (those who operate the ventilators here) already are fleeing. You're a good guy
incredibly based and bananapilled.
>larger country with higher population has more cases
Whoa...
We have 47000 ICU beds, which is like 14 per 100k. Unless this is a different metric
> Two days on a ventilator in a burger hospital.
Lose your house and become bankrupt.
>30yo 450# burger with diabetus and no insurance
>25yo 450# illegal with diabetus and no insurance
>20yo 120# gay twink with aids and no insurance
>45yo 200# stronk empowered single womyn with insurance still wants kids someday
>#80yo 160# veteran of two wars with insurance
>Jew with (((insurance)))
Who gets treated if the hospital is over capacity and they all come in coofing?
The best metric is per geographic area, especially in USA. It's not very useful to have lots of beds in Midwest if people are sick in the coast
>and get us some money.
what are you lacking against the virus?
Also another question: the regular flu dies down during the late spring and summer because the extra heat does things that I don't need to explain to you. (for others both the virus itself and the human body tend towards the result of better defence)
Can we expect some relief with the warming weather in North America and Europe?
Don't worry trump stop all flouts from Europe (:
dumb nigger,
>there's 77,000 ICU beds in America
>America has a population of 330,000,000
>this disease has attributes that make it extraordinarily good at spreading, it's believed it can infect 60-80% of the population
>of that population of infected, 10-20% will have severe complications and could die without medical intervention.. that is regardless of age, young people just have a higher rate of surviving this than old, but ONLY with medical care.
>(330,000,000) x (0.70) x (0.15) = ~35 million fucking people
>35,000,000 people trying to fit into 70,000 beds
Medical system is about to break and civilization is about to just shut the fuck down for up to 6 months
you're probably gonna die with that attitude, better wake the fuck up dumbass
I work as a hospice RN in Florida. I go into nursing homes and ALFs where my hospice patients live. I can report the following. For over a week, we can not order ANY medical supplies because the company that makes our supplies has been told by the government to only make hand sanatizer and masks. All of our medical supplies that we use every day are now locked down and I need approval for every item I take. All ALFs and nursing homes are harder to get into. I now have to sign a sheet and have my temp taken at some of them. As of Friday, family and friends are still allowed to visit residents at ALFs. At the state veterans nursing home (they are state of the art), no more friends and family visits at all. Only essential visits, which I’m considered an essential visit.
yes please give updates. make a thread every day. im also COO of a small surgery center. i have not done the work you have. i am in low risk area. Godspeed.
Post again tomorrow with an update.
Braziiiil!
>Money: a box of masks costed 5BRL last month. Last time I had to pay 123.30 BRL. Everything else is overpriced (unless the government declares somewhat of a martial law)
>Warm temperatures: we are getting daily updates from our health minister. So far, warm temperatures has not stopped transmission. Our last calculation, made by our infectologist, says that, after the 50th case, the infection multiplies tenfold each 7.2 days. By his calculations, we will have our boom by the end of the week. So, check the news
Doubt it. More open space, less interaction. The real memes are Yuros being smug about their public transit sytems. Big cities are fucked but it took forever to reach places like Idaho or Alaska.
Dude, I'm an orthopedic surgeon. Never wanted to be in this job during a pandemic. I've shitted my pants a few times already
I work on the administration side of healthcare. The business monkeys.
This has been a miracle to us. We are realizing how little our workforce is necessary. After this crisis, we can decrease our workforce by over 30%. The nursing ratios are fine, our cleaning services are doing fine with 1/10th the employees, and our nurse managers are covering each other and we now can see just how to consolidate unit leadership. I predict that by July, we can save $5m in monthly employment costs.
The nurses union is shitting their pants right now lol.
nice. one of the two cases in my city is a nurse working in a children's hospital and brought it back from mardi gras. I hate nurses so much. there's too many that just don't give a shit
This is the graph
this event is going to shake up the social order in so many unexpected ways..
life will truly never be the same
wow, that's bad news about the temperatures
Anyway, thanks for posting everything
>entire population gets sick at once
>believed 60-80%
>believed
>wake up
Take your meds
It means you are a fucking retard.
>i know how we can jew things so we are even less prepared next time
Day of the rope for you.
They hate you. Dont bother going to a hospital because they would be the ones who would save you
Yeah man, I need to vent it somewhere. We are under a unofficial NDA, to not spread panic.
Even my wife doesn't know all this shit.
I have to hide my autism in normal day life, but on pol I can say what I think.like nigger
Agreed. If you work in healthcare in America, my recommendation is to make yourself irreplaceable. Work 60 hours, cover shifts if you're clinical, throw people under the bus if you have to. There will be opportunities for up and comers but middle management will be systematically removed.
Start making a good impression now.
sup medfags, my family are all medfags, the oncology hospital in tampa has infections
I hope you are all prepared for massive unorecedented levels of suffering and death.
Sorry man
I work at a 500 bed hospital in nyc, in the past 3 days the admins just told us:
1) cancelling elective cases for this coming week (first cases to get cancelled are orthopedics with cancer cases last)
2) the converted one of our surgical floors to a covid isolation floor (basically moved all the general/uro/neuro/non ortho surgery patients to the ortho surg floor
3)went from saying wearing masks (surgical masks not the n95) were stupid and just panic inducing to mandating anyone walking through ED has to have a mask on
4) locked up all the surgical masks (normally would have boxes sitting outside the ORs where we scrub)
yes and what idiots don't realise is that there are people that are infected right now that are going to get sick and need hospitals and there is nothing you can do to stop this
Whatever nerd. Automation will take over most of these hospital jobs in 25 years, might as well lean out your processes now to prepare for it.
>nationalize healthcare to subtler payer
How will that take the money away from big pharma? Also hows that covid 19 vaccine coming from your amazing medical and pharmaceutical uber corporations?
please explain. im also in administration side of healthcare. you are now realizing how bloated your labor structure is?
On the optimistic side, after this is over, you are going to be mentally strong as fuck.
bongs btfo
>Are you u ready for no access to healthcare?
So just like every other country going through this?
that's not how it works
>adminniggers talking about bloat
something about nigger pots and kettles
>4) locked up all the surgical masks (normally would have boxes sitting outside the ORs where we scrub)
I thought only brazilian were stealing masks. Gives me more hope on Brazil or less in humanity
100% this. All you nigger faggots need to read this post.
Are there 1 million ventilators in the US?
I haven't been to a doctor in ten years. Medicalets are faggots and deserve long waits and paranoia
