Imagine telling 66 million people to avoid all physical contact with other people, enforce mandatory hand washing, enforce strict quarantines “only essential travel” etc work, shops, after telling them 6% of our population could die, a further 20% will need intensive care.
People would panic and not leave their house, won’t work, the whole economy will collapse everyone will suffer worse, food supplies run out etc etc
