Music is an good way to get others to engage with others.
As for pub that can be tricky and environment relative on the whole.
My pub isn't ideal as most people there are from an older age group to me and I am trying to cut down on alcohol too (mostly fail so far).
Pub wise meeting someone you somehow met on social media (perhaps discord if that sort of thing happens) could work and make the pub an viable option (although my last date was not successful overall).

Seriously? Find a genre of music you like that has a reasonable following. Start going to gigs or concerts and mix with fellow fans. Chat fan shit with them and mingle. Do NOT under any circumstances mention Yas Forums type shit, even if you're pissed. No kikes 1488 etc. Act like a fucking normie for whatever sub-cult you mix with. If you don't like music then find some sport or hobby that regular blokes follow. Not Warhammer 40k or D&D nerd shit but stuff like Norf FC or boxing or motor racing.
