Cool it with the ephilistic nihilism. Moan and groan all you want, we are here regardless, so what do we do now? What can we learn from history that can possibly give humanity as a whole a better way to live? A better mode of being? I remember some faggot saying that the answer is to work collectively on building a machine that will annihilate the universe and thus the suffering of human existence. You are a fool if you think that you won't find yourself back here one way or another. Maybe not on these terms, or this manifestation, but you will exist again. So what do we do? This is the true question truly posed to us today.
What does Yas Forums think about Eckhart Tolle?
as based as they come
>I think to become a real leader/"guru"/good example or what have you, you mustn't want to become one in the first place, either. It likely has to happen organically, and so until you find yourself in such a situation
True wisdom here fren. We are in a next level hellscape and this is hard for people to swallow. And yes, the drug experience was absolutely essential for me reaching this conclusion and i will not deny that. Take that as you will. But it was like a cosmic slap in the face. I was too deep into my atheistic nihilism and there was honestly no other way I could come to this. This is just my experience report I am sharing as I find myself in this thread. So I am sharing.
That you're a faggot who needs a ban for making shit slide threads
Never expected to see a thread about him on Yas Forums. When much younger, in my early 20's, I was disillusioned with society, culture, and religious institutions, and came across one of his videos on YouTube while searching for lectures about the nature of consciousness. Something he was saying resonated with me. I began to practice mediation, working on inner peace, trying to shed my ego. That kind of stuff. I think Eckhart Tolle is an adequate introduction into spirituality, especially if you never heard of ego consciousness, if you are neurotic, if you have trouble silencing the voice in your head. Meditation will help you slow down the incessant idle chatter that is the background noise in the mind of nearly everyone.
Personally, however, I was unable to see this all as an endpoint. I see it as quite insufficient for navigating through the real world. I mean, imagine if our entire society was soft-spoken, slow moving people like him, our society would be very quickly overtaken by inferior, more aggressive cultures. Of course, Tolle and other like him would say this is the ego talking, but it seems like an unwillingness to admit that evil really does exist. Any philosophy which doesn't allow for the existence of evil is suicidal in the long term.
Kanye On DMT
Hum of insects exploding into the nervous laughter
Of the crustacean gods behind the divine computer
That tricks us with its bogus simulacra
To think we live in space and in biology
A world where Kanye West sees
Even his mind-broke reality smashed
Watching Kim’s famous tits and ass
Turn into elegant elves giggling at their coffee klatch
Wim might be a bit long-winded in this video, but I enjoy doing this: youtu.be
As I said earlier, it stresses the body and it reacts in various ways, but in good ones. Over-breathing all the time isn't good, but this is very controlled. There's a bunch of actual studies that they've done on it, and more are in the peer-review phase apparently, so it's not just hocus-pocus either. A tip might be to listen to what he says in the video with regards to breathing: lower lung/belly, top/middle and head. The head part, I didn't really get before I had tried it a few times. You have to actively do it, and I can't really describe how, but somehow you can get noticeably more oxygen in your head (per breath) if you imagine it going up there. Almost like it's breathing, as he says - kind of weird, but it seems to work.
I've got to go, anyway. I'll bookmark and read any replies/additional posts tomorrow. Thanks for sharing stuff, I will try to read the three books listed earlier in order.
>How is it that the Hindus believed in a nondualistic "God" and universal oneness yet also had the caste system? These sort of apparent contradictions. He answered all of this.
What were his answers? I'm very curious. And which books did he answer the questions? I will read them, if you tell me.
