What do people think about it? Fun premise, spastic execution, random bullshit, thicc MC, attempted rape played for comedy? Does it have potential?
Doujins when?
What do people think about it? Fun premise, spastic execution, random bullshit, thicc MC...
The MCs are cool and likable, the fights are well written, the worldbuilding is really interesting, and the plot has real potential as long as the author has his shit together for longer than the first few arcs. I'd say it's the best new series since Chainsaw Man assuming Moriking doesn't get much better than its first chapter.
I like the premise of superpowers based on "un-"something, but considering that the author already kind of messed with "unchanging" somehow allowing telekinesis I'm not sure if the wacky powers are going to stay coherent.
Also I don't really get what the Rules and UMAs are.
If you forget about the first chapter, then so far it's been amazing. Can see it go on for 100+ chapters
>the author already kind of messed with "unchanging" somehow allowing telekinesis
nah that made perfect sense. She can extend her power through other matter, and turn it off and on at will, so she can stretch tendrils of Unchanged air to use her power on things at a distance. It makes as much sense as Andy being able to use his blood as a rocket by cutting himself and regenerating blood as he bleeds it out
The world is good, and the power system, and the character interactions, but for some reason I cant bring myself to be as emotionally invested in it as I am with other shounen
I just read Moriking. What the actual fuck? It was funny but like...what?
What was so bad about the first chapter?
Very high potential, the author has expanded the scope like crazy right off the bat, but shit works
This new zombie arc has been kind of boring.
The UMAs seem to be creatures the represent the rules the book has made. Though I get the feeling that they are not ontologically tied to said rules, I doubt the concept of decay will cease to exist if they kill Spoil. That being the case, then the UMAs don't necessarily have to come into existence with the rule they represent either
The air makes some sense because there's always air around, so you can keep connecting to it. But how did she raise that giant block of water into the sky? In order for "unchange" to make that happen wouldn't it have to already be in the sky, and she stops it from changing its position?
Ima smack your mouth shut if you don't shut up, child
Unluck is thicc and I am living for it.
>Power is called Unchange, prevents things from being changed position
>Things still effected by gravity, given that they don't immediately disappear into space as the earth moves away
What's his power? My guess is something like "undecided" that makes you either lose your focus or do the opposite of what you decided to do.
I forgot about the water thing, but it could be like is implying and she can alter what frame of reference an object is Unchanging in. The fight started in the evening so the area they were in would be perpendicular to the revolution of the earth around the sun. If she made the water Unchanging in reference to the earth itself, the portion she's affecting would have the earth pulled out from under it, then she could have it stop by altering its frame of reference for the Unchange
I am pretty sure the giant space ship is what lifted that area of water into the air after she solidified it.
This is far too stretched bo be a belivable explanation.
I think it's exactly too far fetched enough
or an UMA onboard was lifting up the water and she was using her power to make it hang there
It’s alright but the art is a bit messy and Andy isn’t a compelling protagonist.
I'd believe that. But honestly I think the author just didn't really care to think about it, because otherwise it probably would have been discussed in-character.
Whatever it was, Unchange is the only thing in the manga that bothered me for now, even the invisible arms were poorly explained for how her power was described.
The ship is there for a reason and all those light beams beaming down on the water is probably what lifted it up. It didn’t hurt Andy when his dick touches one of it after all but yeah the author should explain it better but it is the only thing I can think of that would make sense with unchange’s power.
Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. The idea of making an impenetrable barrier by making the air unable to be moved makes perfect sense. Being able to make solid air constructs of any shape makes plenty of sense. But being able to move those at her will and actually use the hands as hands, that doesn't make sense at all, because she doesn't have any power to MOVE the things that she's making unchangeable.
read a few chapters to check it out, biggest complain is the characters feel very one note at the moment
>MC: typical tsundere except you add some shut in into her. would've worked ten times better if she didn't immediately fell in love with Zombie guy, the fact that this girl was suicidal then immediately fell in love with some guy she knows for like 3 days kinda eschews her character
>Zombie-guy: my only real problem is his face always stays the same so that insane grin from the first chapter loses it's touch every other subsequent time, he's also fairly contradictory. being totally ok with raping the MC then basically dragging her on until she develops stockholme syndrome but he also doesn't want to bang her now cause she's desperate?
MC is cute and would've preferred if she kept her long ass hair
Unintentional??
>But being able to move those at her will and actually use the hands as hands, that doesn't make sense at all, because she doesn't have any power to MOVE the things that she's making unchangeable.
Exactly, especially grabbing people with those hands and move them in the hair, how she can do that? to move people with the ahnds shw ahs do remove the unchange power to the air or they cna't be moved if the air around them cant be moved too, like the barrier she has, so...wtf really ahppend there?
The more i think about it and the more pissed of i am, and we are talking about a manga were kissing a girl make a meteor to rain down from outer space.
I don't care how bullshit powers are as long as they're internally consistent. We've established that Unluck works by anyone touching her skin-to-skin, magnified by both the intimacy of the contact and her affection towards the person. Nonsense rules but those are the rules, and they've been consistent. I'm down for all kinds of bullshit based around "Unchange" but telekinesis isn't part of it.
The author is HUNTERCHAD
>the fact that this girl was suicidal then immediately fell in love with some guy she knows for like 3 days kinda eschews her character
That's because she has a serious lack of affection and both people avoided her and she avoided people for her whole life. Undead is the first person that actually want to stick with her and care about her, so it's normal that she develop feelings for him.
He is getting more development in his character as chappers passing on, some of his backstory is explained and it's related to how he act and even his always smiling facade is tuning down bit by bit.
>I don't care how bullshit powers are as long as they're internally consistent
That's the point, he made a fucking metroi by kissing consistent and couldnt made a damn simple unchange power consistent in less than 15 chapters?
It's like seeing someone with devil fruit swimming in One Piece in chapter 13 after it's stated that they cant swim in chapter 3.
what?? unchange is cool power,,,
is just bit exaggerate.. we know that gina can move his unchange barrier...
its not the same, bakayaro..its specific power upgrade vs all universe rule..
in UU their type still apply to all, like internal or external type...
in OP you also had so many bullshit upgrade beyond their power.. like luffy.. gear 3 will never made sense if you think logically.. how can you transfer air between bone?? or muscle (gear 4),,, and luffy can fire punch too..
The OP example was made just as an example of broken rule in a dozen of chapter, and almost everyone know the devil fruit rule, "unlimited power" but can't swim.
