I have a question of those who have read enough of World Trigger and of MHA to understand everything I say in this post.

Basically, if the power/mana lores of both series are squished together, I want to know opinions on which Quirks are "Trion-based." My object is to figure out if Quirks can affect Trion Soldiers, and if so, which Quirks.

Possibility 1: Plus Ultra factor is a mutated Trion gland. If this is the case, then all Quirks would technically be Trion-based. Because the gland's function is expanded/changed with immediate implications for the entire body, Side Effects no longer occur; they have changed into Quirks.

Possibility 2: P.U. and Trion gland are separate things. A Quirk could involve changes to the Trion gland but won't always. Side Effects, when/if they still occur, would probably be misattributed to the Quirk.

My theory is that Trion permeates the bloodstream and would be involved in Quirks that create "something from nothing". If there's a good physical explanation for the source of the Quirk's effects, it wouldn't be Trion-based in Possibility 2. Which means, for instance, I'm not sure if MomoYao's Quirk involves it.

Following are lists of those in Class A I think do and don't have Trion-based Quirks according to Possibility 2.

Probably uses Trion
Mineta, Sero, Shoji, Todoroki, Aoyama

Possibly uses Trion
Yaoyorozu, Ashido, Hagakure, Koda (because his Quirk matches a known S.E.)

Probably does not use Trion
Tokoyami, Kirishima, Sato

Does not use Trion
Midoriya, Bakugo, Urakaka, Ida, Ojiro, Asui, Kaminari, Jiro (the natural structure of squid tentacles is sufficient to explain how her cords can extend)

Looking forward to your thoughts.

It's tough to put my thoughts into writing for how to explain things. I'm a bit confused by how you worded your question about "if Quirks can affect Trion Soldiers" specifically. Do you mean whether the soldiers can have quirks of their own? Or if people using their quirks to combat them would have any effect?

The latter. Would superheroes be able to battle Trion Soldiers without Triggers?

It's possible to injure a Trion Body by hitting it with a car (though it does regenerate quite quickly), so I don't see why not.

That's only Yuma's body tho, which is less sturdy than a normal Trion body in exchange for being able to regenerate.

He probably could be nuked though, yeah

combat bodies made of trion are canon impervious to almost all non-trion attacks as far as it's known. The author has specifically mentioned (forget if it's in the volume notes or the databook) that a trion body can easily survive a tank blast as well as reentry from orbit.

so by that analysis, elemental or physical attacks cannot harm a trion body. you can knock them around though.

I surmise mental attacks wouldn't quite work either because the real body is stored in the trigger and isn't in a form susceptible to manipulation, but I guess that depends on the quirk.

>Q.178
>Chapter 1 said that tanks and fighter aircrafts’ attacks didn’t work on trion bodies, but can agents in trion bodies not be damaged too? Or are they not durable enough and will bailout?

>A: I think a trion body for combat use will be totally fine against the gun of a tank or a missile.

Oooh I had not thought of mental attacks. Since it's not the real body I guess for example Mandalay's Quirk couldn't contact someone in a Trion body. Shinsho's wouldn't work either then.

As for the rest, that's why I'm trying to figure out which Quirks Trion is involved in. I'm assuming if for instance Momo Yao's objects are inlaid with Trion they should be able to affect a Trion body/soldier. I'm not sure if they are, though.

So what happens if you give a trigger to a quick user? Do they get to use their quirks in their trion bodies?
