Why so? Sure it was considered raunchy back then (especially in the west were people still gave a shit about what evangelicals thought) but if anything society is becoming MORE accommodating to things like casual nudity as a form of art. If the issue is with pedophilia, just age up the Ranma and Akane like 2 years and cut down on some of Happosai's antics and you're golden. Except the story of Ranma 1/2 was about a guy who'd use his girl form to manipulate both men and women which would ultimately put him in the zany situations that made the series entertaining to watch simply for its novelty. As for the fights... well, you could really go either way with that, but I would think that, even if Ryoko does get the same -Str/+Spd as Ranko, she'd still be monstrously strong. Let's not forget Ranko can swing around Ryoga's weighted umbrella AND carry Akane simultaneously with no effort whatsoever.
