The real shame is that the cool designs in zipman were attached to such awful writing.
At least zipman had a real ending unlike most early axes, but they had to sort of skip the start of the ending to make it happen,

Mashle comedy lies in MC not giving a shit about anyone, not his strenght.

I think second volume data will be more telling since the quality has picked up quite a bit in newer chapters, probably a combination of the mangaka learning to plan things out better and editorial guidance.

Not really.
It's not speeding toward a final arc yet, but the MC (the incredibly strong prodigy) is training under the previous prodigy. Still boring, still getting tons of exposition through dialogues and infodumps.

Mashle's comedy is about the insane characters that are not Mash

I think its more accurate to say he doesn't give a shit about anything than anyone.

Mitama does a better job of mixing up the jokes by virtue of having a larger cast, more chapters and a less restrained setting. Some chapters barely focus on Mitama and others barely focus on the spirits.
I think Agravity's past three chapters proved that it's capable of doing the same if the author wills it.

I think if by some miracle it lasts long enough to get an anime they will completely rewrite the start to be more in line with more recent developments and a little less awkward in general.

I just don't find it interesting nor catchy. It has a already seen premise with already seen characters and an already seen setting. Told in the most direct and unimaginative way, without engaging interactions between the characters. Is not bad persè, it's just terribly mediocre for me. It would probably score better in another magazine.
