Mugen no Juunin finale

So why didn't Manji pick his own arm again afterwards?

This episode was such a fucking fever dream. Perfect for the finale i suppose. The ending is so appropriately melancholic too. 100 years later everyone whose story even mattered is dead, forgotten by the times. Though it's of some comfort that Rin's descendants exist and not Anotsu's or Kagimura's. Now i guess i'll read the manga since everyone insists it's so much better.

why did rin break down crying near the end
i'm so fucking lost i have no idea what happened

Let me get this straight.
It ends with the Itto-ryu being wiped out, then we get a timeskip 80 years down the line and no one remembers them. Manji is naturally still around due to being immortal and is tasked with looking after Fuyu, who I presume is Rin's descendant. And then the anime ends, with the two of them riding off into the sunset.

She was pretending to be all mature and strong but deep down she just wanted to be with Manji

Farewell best girl.

well that flew over my head, thanks

also she was still sad because her parents are dead

I never really got to read the manga. Just the 1st series 12 years ago.
The 2nd part especially of this adaptation felt really rushed. They tried to adapt the whole manga? The OST was more memorable in the 1st anime.
It's probably still the best idea to read the manga someday.
