At the time it was quite annoying because most had settled on the obvious: that whoever just liked Keima for who he was would win, but at the end of the arc that was Chihiro, whose heart was broken, so people flocked to like Tenri or whatever, the character who legitimately never would have won--Keima never even captured her heart.
