This is a problem virgins and people who have never been in a relationship have. It's easier to romanticize sex and relationships when you've never had these things and you're viewing anime and other media that romanticizes them. But of course, the type of romance that exists in anime simply doesn't exist in real life. You're being scarred by an object of desire that never had any referrent in reality to begin with.
