I'm 36 but I wasn't paying attention to the markets when dotcom bust or 08 happened. I was trading during the volatility in 2016, that was no fun. And 2018. This is worse than 16 and 18.

Anyone with money in the stock market has materially benefited from federal deficit spending and the debasement of the currency.
They were hoping to reap the spoils of those who bore the brunt of QE: poor folks kept in the hole by rising rent, tuition, and medical bills.
It's sad that their own retirement might be impacted now, but it's not unfair.
