does anyone know how much of the plot the first movie will cover? i understand it’s being split in two but i wonder where this one will end. right after they meet the fremen? feels like the first movie won’t have a very satisfying arc and from what i’ve gathered there’s no guarantee the second half will be made unless the first is sufficiently profitable.

Alot of the satisfaction in the story is seeing a little boy. Prove himself against men then a few years later he proves himself a fremen and becomes a prophet, tries to stop a jihad he sees in the "future". However since Paul is already casted as an adult man. You aren't gonna see that development same with Chani. You get to see Paul become a man which is just gonna look pathetic when that fag jew tries to act it out.

A good split is when Paul & Jessica disappear into a storm to avoid capture.
