There's a character named Cid, the mako and lifestream concept is lifted from ff7 under a different name, there are guns swords and airships used to fight fantastical creatures. I'm sure there's more direct references I'm not remembering.
No chocobos that I remember but someone does wear chocobo pajamas.
Is this movie worth watching ?
KEK, what a fool
>as far as association with the game, I was producing the film without having that in mind, but because Mr Sakaguchi is really the creator of Final Fantasy, and he is just so strongly associated with the game it just became a natural progression that this movie was named after it and became what it was, which is Final Fantasy the movie. I guess my motivation wasn't to turn the game into a film
I don't think there's any swords in the movie. It's literally just a scifi flick with guns and shit
felt like the movie was just a benchmark for cgi achievements rather than any intentional storytelling.
all i remember is alien-gaia-meteor crashed into earth and the world was going to end with alien-gaia killing earth-gaia.
also steve buscemi
I remember seeing this at the theater. The novelty of the "realistic" CGI wore off after the first 15 minutes, and the movie itself was boring as shit.
>I dont think
You're wrong. Go watch the movie if you cant remember.
got a screenshot? It must be a small part of the film because all I remember are guns and google doesn't show any different
No it wasn't, but that was a significantly better movie than this shit.
Seriously? The guy who produced the video games since the first one was at the helm of this movie. it was his baby. He played it so close to his chest that its failure led to his leaving the company soon after, even with his pedigree.
Nah, it was this movie. the ghosts are orange, and if they touch you you die. I remember the guy lets them into the city for some reason and tons of people die.
