Probably this in IMAX 3D
Best Film Experience?
TDK when it first came out
Dar Knight Rises.
Even if it's very memeable, it actual does a great job of evoking emotions and watching it at cinemas was incredible. Especially the part where Bruce escaped the pit, I just felt...empowered. it was weird, and great.
>watching Black Panther at the movies
>intense fighting scene between protag and antag
>slouch down my seat and yell, "YO, THIS NIGGA FINNA BOUTTA DABBED ON"
>everyone laughs
>black guy sucks his teeth and says, "You aight, white boy"
>Hear "He cute" from one of the girls
I still regret not accepting my crushes invite to see this movie.
Best is BR 2049 with my gf even though she was confused by the ending
to this day there are only 2 movies i ever paid to see twince in theatres
those movies are The Dark Knight and Blade Runner 2049
funny thing is BR 2049 isnt even that great of a sci fi film but the experience was just visually, audiably, emotionally captivating that I had to see it again, they dont make movies like that any more thats for sure
I'm very glad I got to see the plane scene in theaters before it became a meme.
T2 at the Cinesphere Ontario Place
I'm surprised by how many people are saying BR2049. I only watched it at home and I really like it, but I can't see how it tops 'best cinema experience' compared to, say, Interstellar (which I also watched at home but I thought to myself "this would've been awesome at cinemas").
Same here: I saw it at the local multiplex cinema because we don't have an IMAX anywhere within an hour drive, but I was the only person there (it had been out for a week or so and I went to a matinee because I'm a NEET with nothing better to do in the middle of the afternoon).
When I went back to see it a second time, though, there were probably a dozen people there, even though it was another matinee and it had been out for close to a month by then. I swear that half the reason it wasn't a box office success was that they didn't market it well at all, and it ended up drawing better late in its run due to word of mouth getting around and people seeing it multiple times.
