Never seen this. Is it good?

Heh heh.

>Zulu was progressive for it's time
Cowardly blacks???

The old ACTUAL meaning of progressive.

>cowardly
I know it's become something of a Yas Forums meme but Zulu actually presents the Zulu in a pretty positive fashion, they are depicted as being primitive but they're not idiots, the movie also highlights King Cetshwayo's Christian conversion, the bravery and cunning of their warriors, and their pride as a people to defy the British. They lost the battle and ultimately the war, but from the way Yas Forums describes the movie you'd think it was Helm's Deep from lotr and not what it actually is.

Chard immediately criticises him for saying that.

It's the Natal Native Contingent on the British side, which deserts before the battle, who he calls cowards.

The singing and chanting at each other was very corny. Same thing with the drunkard guy, he was like a cartoon character.
Otherwise, this is a 10/10 movie.

>Chard immediately criticises him for saying that.
That's what I mean.

I liked the idea of hundreds or thousands of Zulus singing their war chant for hours to eat at the Brit's morale, it'd be truly terrifying in real life.

based

O shit, sorry, I thought you meant it somehow wasn't "progressive" because Bromhead called them cowards.
