Literally one of the best movies of all time

I only do one of those things.

>Hate niggers
Zulu was progressive for it's time

It makes the niggers seethe and the nigger lovers cry.
Damn well it´s good.

VI VON ZULUL

The movie is problematic in its portrayal of Africans as well as skirting the inherent injustice of colonialism. It’s patriotic tripe made to justify the inhuman treatment of “lesser” people.

why didn't they just attack from behind

>great opportunity get a female character blacked
>doesn't do it
no

What would this movie be like if it was made today?

All right, how far can you rednecks march in a day?

>closest thing to black Caesar is a 19th-century barbarian
I feel bad for the niegros.

>niggers getting btfo
>straight up kino and cool battles
Yeah its good

yeah remember how the Zulu forced the British out of their lands and totally didn't get colonized after the war?

oh wait fuck

Hark I hear the foe advancing
Barbed steeds are proudly prancing
Helmets in the sunbeams glancing
Cymru fo am byth
From the rocks rebounding
Let the war cry sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The haughty foe advancing
Men of Harlech on to glory
See your banner famed in story
Waves these burning words before ye
Cymru fo am byth!

Heh heh.

>Zulu was progressive for it's time
Cowardly blacks???

The old ACTUAL meaning of progressive.

>cowardly
I know it's become something of a Yas Forums meme but Zulu actually presents the Zulu in a pretty positive fashion, they are depicted as being primitive but they're not idiots, the movie also highlights King Cetshwayo's Christian conversion, the bravery and cunning of their warriors, and their pride as a people to defy the British. They lost the battle and ultimately the war, but from the way Yas Forums describes the movie you'd think it was Helm's Deep from lotr and not what it actually is.

Chard immediately criticises him for saying that.

It's the Natal Native Contingent on the British side, which deserts before the battle, who he calls cowards.

The singing and chanting at each other was very corny. Same thing with the drunkard guy, he was like a cartoon character.
Otherwise, this is a 10/10 movie.

>Chard immediately criticises him for saying that.
That's what I mean.

I liked the idea of hundreds or thousands of Zulus singing their war chant for hours to eat at the Brit's morale, it'd be truly terrifying in real life.

based

O shit, sorry, I thought you meant it somehow wasn't "progressive" because Bromhead called them cowards.

its solid

as a war movie buff its nothing special but its a servicible siege/last stand movie

Wherever there are Africans, there will be singing and chanting.

Zulu is 10/10, only possible way it could be improved is having all the Welshmen sound Welsh and gabble Welsh at each other (unsubtitled) throughout the movie

this

any other scenes where music is used as psychological warfare only few i can think of are:

(only good scene in a shitty movie, Billy Bob elevates any movie)
