Where do Lord of the Rings people go when they die?

To Hell, because they refuse to accept Christ as their lord and savior.

Heroes go to the outermost circle of Hell, along with the virtuous pagans, where life continues and the fires do not reach. Villains go to an area of Hell corresponding with their sins. Some may go to Heaven or Purgatory if they hold an unknowing Baptism of Desire, and God extends the grace of the Church to them in their dying moment (probably what Tolkien intended for most heroes).

The Halls of Mandos, at least for Eldar (elves) and Atani (men). It's not really clear what happens to Dwarves or Ents or other non-immortal beings.

if you can't rely on the Great Eagles you certainly can't rely on these lesser species, user

Because there's no such place as mount Mordor. There's a mount Doom which is located in Mordor.

I like you.

The souls of men pass beyond the circle of the world. Elves stay in the halls of Mandos and can reincarnate if they so chose to.

So Boromir was sent to the Ninth Circle as a traitor?
