Best 2000's kino?

Why didn't she ever go nude? Playboy would have been good.

In the early/mid 00s there still was an equilibrium of power, of sorts. The media and academia were already leaning heavily left and feminist. But the upper middle class and the general culture still tended to lean right-of-center Christian. Hence the Bush presidency, which was carried by the evangelical vote.

In the meantime however, the power of the old Christian right as irreversibly eroded. General culture has been conquered by the leftist media, so the people in charge of the media don't see any reason to hold back anymore. 20 years ago, they still were afraid of repelling too many viewers if they pushed their agenda too forcefully. Nowadays they feel comfortable to use entertainment as their feminist soapbox any chance they get, because the opposition has been diminished.

Why are french-canadians so beautiful?

9/11 ruined everything Literally everything from 2000 right before september 2001 was max comfy and it seemed like Americans were as care free as ever.

It's not your imagination. Things changed.

>Yas Forums turns an avril thread into a thread just talking about feminists
why

a republican is president I don't know how much more "in control of culture" you want

I must say there is something special about early 2000s aesthetic. This movie and its sequel exemplify this quite well.

Hollywood and the news have far more influence over culture than the President could hope for

Because most of the older guys here have fond memories of the 00s before things really went to shit. I remember liberals losing their minds over Avril's Hello Kitty video and said she was a racist.
