What age did you get your drivers license?
Other urls found in this thread:
Failed the road test three (3) times
I have given up
How do you fail an american driving test? I don't have it because I'm retarded but it's more difficult and way more expensive here

This is the route you have to take in my city (plus you have to park at an empty parking lot and get three attempts to get in between the lines)
The last time I took it, I failed because I hesitated to stop at a light that was changing just as I approaching it, so I stopped past the line and was slightly in the intersection. In that case, it would have been better to just go through the light

18 years old.
I think 22. I used to live in the city so there was really no need.
When I was 18 I failed about 6 or 7 times. Then I tried again when I was 22 and got it on my 2nd try.
I am not a good driver.

16, but I started driving at 14 because my dad worked evenings.
I drove to drivers training at my school.
My dad said if police catch me driving to say he did not let me drive it.
Automatic car, wide roads, only lights and stops, no roundabouts, big empty parking
Seem easy

Got my license 2 weeks after I turned 18, cost me 2800 fucking euro but it was worth it.
I have never heard about anybody here failing a driving test, I only see this on Yas Forums
Most people are probably too embarrassed to say in real life
You can fuck up our tests, you have to parallel park.
I failed the first time because I didn’t back up straight enough when we had to back up 100 feet, which was an auto fail
Most fails are from parallel parking I think.
I know someone in high school who failed because they took a left from the right lane
Can you fail for not enough looking in the mirrors?

I thought the governor reopened Georgia

>had it at 17
28 now, on my 5th car
I didn't. But the driving theory course was obligatory in my uni.
Why don't you just bribe your examiners?
I'm 29 and getting it this year because it'll probably expand my job opportunities.
You might would lose points but not necessarily fail
My friend did that in Germany
yeah the "manueverability" section is the "hard" part, and most people don't even use it because they don't live in a city (which is where parallel parking is really necessary).
The honest truth is yes, you do have to be fucking two-digit IQ to not get an american driving license. No one here admits it except for like "oh lol I failed my first time because >muh noover ability". US requirements are extremely low. In addition, it is almost impossible to lose a driver's license, which is perhaps the scarier bit, because you get elderly people who really shouldn't still be driving that continue to do it. I've known at least three instances now in my small state that old people caused accidents, and yet I can personally tell you from multiple firsthand experiences that the BMV is a joke. They are supposed to test your ability to maintain a license whenever you come in to renew, but the reality is that it takes more work to fail someone (including filing paperwork and making them retake their tests later), so they go out of their way to make sure you keep on renewing. There is additional impetus from business and government, because without more cars on the road, you can't keep auto shops and car dealers running and you can't keep getting taxes from gasoline sales. Also, if the person still works, then they are fucked, because you can't get to your job if you don't have a car. So the net effect is that even though grandma can't read the first line of the vision test, we'll keep her on the road and call it a sad tragedy when she inevitably kills someone. Or, we just pray that she voluntarily gives up her license. That's pretty much the only way you ever lose your license in the US.
>you do have to be fucking two-digit IQ to not get an american driving license
I know a literal downy that has one
27...
I'm 27 and I was going to get it earlier this year but COVID-19 happened
Getting the license is easy but there are parts you can fuck up.
You can’t just go out and ace the parallel parking part without practice
is this a fucking joke
Imagine driving for a few minutes and paying like 15 dollars to get your license haha

I'm 33, never learned to drive, ride a bike everywhere. As long as my job and a grocery store are in riding distance I'm fine

I failed the driving exam 5 times before I got it. I paid like 3500 euros in total to get it. Haven't driven in 2 years lmao
Not a bad thing not to have a car if you don't really need it, at least you save money
>interestates where people go 150 k/hr and you fear for your life
>huge lorries that can literally smush you into a piece of paper if the trucker is not paying attention
>retards cutting you off and almost causing an accident
>black ice and snow making your car lose control and your head bust open (new England gang)
I got my first car and driving when I was 15, but didn't get my license until I was 16.
I got a car early because my dad found a good deal on a car for me.
20 my parents had to kick me in the butt to get one. I was too lazy and timid and it was starting to hurt my educational/occupational aspiration. Nowadays I drive every week or almost
same but 28
