Mfw I just realized I spend $700 a year on smokes

I can't handle smoke, my nose is too sensitive. So, I am have never smoked in my life. Why do people do it? DO you get high doing it, feel good, or is it just a habit?

It's actually more expensive to roll here due to VAT and all of that

I spend 1000€ in energy drinks in the last 12 months

It's just an addiction, you don't get high but you can feel the need of it. If anything it feels like a chore.

I find it gives me a rush that makes me feel more calm and alert. It also makes my legs tingle, but I almost never do it, so i'm probably very sensitive to nicotine.

Shit that sucks. One rolling bag lasts about a week for me. Filters, bag and papers are about 10€. You can roll 50 cigs

It's a forced placebo. After you get into smoking your brain and lungs are asking for more nicotine, so you smoke another cigarette to fill up the lack of nicotine you've created by smoking your first cig.
In other words you smoke to feel yourself better as if you never smoke
