demand for oil and its byproducts (petrol, avtur etc.) have fallen because lockdown has shut down a lot of economic activities in the US
because the yanks already have shitloads of oil in surplus it's not worth buying oil, so oil becomes literally worth less than it costs to produce
once everything resumes oil will go back to normal, not a big deal, the damage done will depend on how long it takes for lockdown measures to end
