>The death of Clayton Darrell Lockett occurred on April 29, 2014, when he suffered a heart attack during an execution by lethal injection in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Lockett, aged 38, was convicted in 2000 of murder, rape and kidnapping. Lockett was administered an untested mixture of drugs that had not previously been used for executions in the United States. Although the execution was stopped, Lockett died 43 minutes after being sedated. He writhed, groaned, convulsed, and spoke during the process and attempted to rise from the execution table fourteen minutes into the procedure, despite having been declared deceased. 12 months later he was acquitted of all charges when DNA evidence implicated another man.
What's wrong with a bullet to the back of the head? It could potentially be messy (I guess it depends on the caliber), but why not leave them a choice? Paying an executioner is certainly not more expensive than paying doctors and all other shit to administer lethal injections.
Daniel Collins
Imagine being him, on a table while fat wh*te american corrections officers shoot you full of deadly drugs over a crime you didn't commit, then you suffer for an hour, boomers at home watching the news of your death and applauding.
welcome to ameriKKKa

I mean you can tell just looking at him he's probably done the same shit to someone else and got away with it. Sometimes justice works in mysterious ways.
Sebastian Kelly
so the american people don't feel guilty nevermind that this is less humane. it looks better.
Don't think doctors actually administer the injections.
Zachary Adams
>Clayton Lockett was born in 1975 to a drug-using mother. She abandoned him when he was three years old, and he was then raised by his father who severely physically abused Lockett throughout his childhood, gave him drugs starting at age three, and encouraged him to steal and not get caught.[5][6][7] >In 1992, at the age of sixteen, Lockett pleaded guilty in Kay County to burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property. He received a seven-year prison sentence. Earlier that year, he pleaded no contest to two counts of intimidating state witnesses. >While imprisoned at age 16 at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, a prison for adults, Lockett was gang raped by three adult male prisoners.[8][9]

any state that has capital punishment is 3rd world cunt

No violent criminals have a certain look to them and he has that look.
Eli Wright
Even the poorest thirdo hole can carry out an execution. The shartnited hates of Walmerica can't even manage THAT right.
Christopher Parker
Didn’t read don’t care. He shouldn’t done his crimes if he didn’t want to die.
Isaac Brooks
I misread it and thought he murdered 2,000 people.
The last one was in 1927 and got abolished two years later.
Nolan Barnes
>bullet to the back of the head because there's this idiotic notion that slowly injecting someone with chemicals is somehow more human than a firing line. it's fucking stupid and even more inhumane.
Grayson Roberts
>he was acquitted of all charges when DNA evidence implicated another man.
John Taylor
>12 months later he was acquitted of all charges when DNA evidence implicated another man.
Why did you add this bit? Never happened, he sure as shit did it too.
Yes because crime rates were very low in the past when methods of execution were far more humiliating and painful. Punishment as a deterrent is not terribly effective because most of criminals are sociopaths and like, so potential risk of getting caught and punished doesn't really do much for them. Not to mention it's pointless and idiotic, would you torture a rabid dog because it bit someone? Best way to fight crime is to prevent it's causes. This guy was born in a very shitty family and he was raped when he was 16. What do you expect?
That said I'm a supporter of capital punishment, but not this stupid shit. Just shoot them in the back of the head like they do in China or in former USSR. It's quick and painless.
Michael Nguyen
Why don't they simply overdose them with morphine? Do they just enjoy cruelty?
Firing squads shoot people in the abdomen, so that they can still have an open casket funeral. That's legitimately the reason why they don't shoot them in the head
Gavin Campbell
That's pretty depressing my guy

Why the fuck do people sit on death row for decades? If there is evidence that 150% proves that they did the shit they should be killed within 24 hours unironically. Why let murderers and rapists be a burden on us? And if there's any doubt that they did it the death penalty shouldn't even be on the table.
Because law isn't just about murderers and rapists and legal process has to be respected. >be a burden on us And how many other stupid things is your tax money spent on? This is probably among the last on the list of expenses.
Jose Baker
>Why the fuck do people sit on death row for decades? >If there is evidence that 150% proves that they did the shit they should be killed within 24 hours unironically Precisely because new evidence can be discovered like with this guy, they can try appealing the sentence etc., basically bureaucracy. If they had postponed this guy's execution by 12 months, he would have been free
Evan Reyes
1988 and abolished in 1997
Jack Cox
It's fake. OP or someone else added that bit about him being innocent.
Daniel Rogers
>If they had postponed this guy's execution by 12 months, he would have been free
The a*stralian lied.
Carter Russell
This guy was guilty though, OP added that to troll Americans. But you are right.
Parker Green
This stuff has happened with other people. Some people have been released after being on death row for ages

>woah lawd my po' babeh ain't neva eva diyed nuthin!
I know, I'm not really arguing against you there, just making the point about this case
Jaxon Allen
>welcome to ameriKKKa whoa, that was clever. It's like America...BUT WITH THE KKK INSERTED INTO IT! Dude, you should write books and run for president. for real dawg.
Julian Roberts
Still, I'd probably rather be executed quickly, even if I was innocent. Solitary confinement seems like one of the worst things a human could experience. Even if there was a slight chance that I could be found not guilty after a decade, I don't know if I'd want to wait for that long in solitary
