I guess most pasta foods and pizza count as Italian. Potato foods are probably French/Belgian.
Brandon Jenkins
>balkan
Serously?
I visited some Balkan restaurant that opened up in my area but I don't see it being as widespread as other restaurants. Balkan food is very often blended with a predominately Greek centric cuisine except with more drinking
The big named restaurants in the Washington DC area is defiantly more German style beer garden type of restaurants. It makes sense as American drinking culture is moving towards more artisan crafted beer culture,
Parker Johnson
>Italian in Germany Why?
Liam Cox
That's American food marketed as Chinese to appear exotic
Jordan Evans
Pretty sure Italian is way way way more 100x more integrated than Chinese. Mexican is 2nd. Chinese is maaaybe 3rd but even then not sure.
OP = liar. But why?
Hunter Wilson
No matter how small or rural a shithole is, there's always a Pizzeria and a Thai/Chinese place in Sweden
Brody Foster
>italian he said very foreign in origin. No one eats Mexican outside of the Mexican states in the South/west.
Logan Long
I lived my whole life in the Midwest and everyone eats Mexican waaay more than Chinese food.
Italian is foreign in origin. You saying Italy is in the USA? No, rather its so integrated you dont even notice it
Nathan Collins
>Italian >ordered more than Chinese
I see more Chinese restaurants in all the major cities in the East coast than I have ever seen Italian restaurants
>inb4 pizza is italian
No man pizza is American as fuck
Jordan Bailey
lol. I am an Asian and one time I was eating at a cheap Chinese restaurant in a mall. Some black guys walked by and saw me. I heard them say "shit that's how you know it's gotta be good" and they came in.
Brandon Harris
Pizza is Italian and you know it. Go to the grocery store too you will see 100x more Italian stuff than Chinese. People might go out for Chinese take out or whatever, and its well liked, but nowhere near Italian. Not even near Mexican which is 2nd. Chinese is maybe 3rd at best.
William Sullivan
Absolutely curry, in fact I'm quite sure we're the only western country where curry is very common. Got a curry house in every town in the country
Joshua Reed
Do you consider Taco Bell and On The Border and shit like that Mexican? Because it's not, it's Tex-mex
Oliver Phillips
OK retard, either way Mexican (with or without including Tex Mex) is eaten way more all over Midwest than Chinese is.
Easton Wright
Taco bell isn't Mexican, it's a completely American chain staffed by whatever ethnicity is available. There isn't a Mexican restaurant in every town in America, not even close. There's a Chinese restaurant even if the town literally has 5 chinese people in it.
Oliver Williams

Julian Foster
What state you live at?
No way niggas in Michigan order Tacos more than General tso's Chicken
Jayden Robinson
I would die without curry and kebabs, I eat them 2-3 times a week.
Adam Sanders
Yeah no shit, because Mexican is so integrated we have Mexican-American cuisine. I dont know about "every town in America" but Mexican-owned Mexican restaurants are way way more common than Chinese in the Midwest. There is not a Chinese restaurant in "every town" either. Go to grocery store and you will also see way more Mexican food and Mexican brands than you do Chinese.
I lived in Michigan (Lansing and Detroit suburb/Roseville), Pittsburgh, Chicago. Mexican and Italian are way more common than Chinese in all them. Chinese food is gross in Michigan, always some shit-tier buffet garbage.
>General Tso Not from China.
Bentley Sanders
>because Mexican is so integrated we have Mexican-American cuisine. So? Chinese-American cuisine exists. What do you think Panda Express, P.F. Changs is? I don't live in the Midwest but nothing you claimed is even remotely true on the East Coast.
Lincoln Young
Anything from the Eastern Mediterranean, but in this order:
1. Georgian 2. Turkish 3. Lebo/Damascene 4. Greek
Having said that a well executed tofu banh mi would have to be the best dish of all though. Could eat them by the truckload.
Matthew Smith
I live in Chicago. We have a big Mexican population, but outside of hipsters no one goes to the Mexican neighborhoods on any sort of basis. Everyone goes to our massive Chinatown (we actually have two unofficially) and most of the fusion / new-age cuisine is chinese/asian. The only "integrated" Mexican around here is Rick Bayless' meme stuff.
Jonathan Foster
Some lignja with blitva and white wine is 10/10. But most people associate it with cevapcici and pljeskavica which is just artery clogging mince meat.
Ajvar is the best universal condiment though, even better than hummus.
Ethan Edwards
Mexicans live almost everywhere and their restaurants are everywhere. I looked up Mexican food in 5 miles of the loop, got 20 pages of result in Yelp. Chinese food got 9.
I have 5 Mexican restaurants in walking distance of my apt, only have a single "asian fusion" place. No chinese.
>What do you think Panda Express, P.F. Changs is? Waaaay less popular than Taco Bell that's for sure. Every stoner Midwesterner love Taco Bell, never met anyone who cares about PF Changs
>East Coast Meme coast
Hunter Sanders
>east coast >meme coast
Them's fighting words my friends
Levi Morgan
I seriously think 3 out of 5 Latin restaurants is just a money laundry scheme.
Never seen more than 1 customer order from them. They're always empty and employs less than 2 folks inside. They somehow stay in business for 4+ years despite how little customers flow through
Sebastian Gonzalez
>I looked up Mexican food in 5 miles of the loop, got 20 pages of result in Yelp. Chinese food got 9. Then you're either lying or a retard who doesn't know how to use a search engine, considering Chinatown / Archer is less than 2.5 half miles from the heart of the Loop.
Brayden Perez
Too bad like I said Mexican restaurant are everywhere so it doesn't even matter now does it. There are way way more Mexicans than Chinese people in Chicago period and everyone likes their food more too
I assume Yelp gives more and more irrelevant results as you go through the pages, but those are the search parameters I put in and thats what came out.
Luis Howard
I highly doubt people will be consuming Chinese food in the immidiate future anymore.
Thomas Baker
>I can't use a search engine so my confirmation bias is reality I literally just searched Chinese food and came up with 31 pages.
Xavier Gonzalez
Tacos are an arabic invention
Tyler Evans
>someone from the Midwest calling East Coast meme coast when talking about integrating foreign foods We're literally the only reason 99% of the country even has most of these foreign integrated foods
Juan Richardson
It's Italian food by a huge margin. In my town of 17.000 people we have 4 Italian restaurants and 5 pizza delivery services (one is most likely a mafia-run money laundering front business though)
